An unexpected find in tiny St Andrews by the Sea - a world class restaurant serving impeccable food in gorgeous surroundings and with attentive service. The lobster was amazing, as was the chicken with potato rosti. All the starters were great, sadly no room left for dessert - although all looked terrific.

Had the pleasure of having another dinner at the Rossmount with my family. The service was fantastic as always. The food was once again unbelievable. If you haven't had the experience you have to come and enjoy. We will be back.

We went there based on others' reviews and are very grateful we did. I had haddock cooked to perfection after a first course of heirloom tomato slices. Both dishes were excellent. My husband loved the steak. I was too full for dessert, though they all looked delicious. The service was attentive but not intrusive with plenty of wait staff for... More

Do not miss this restaurant, the food is world class, a rare find. They make food from home grown vegetables and organic food. Make reservation well in advance.

We were able to be get a table last minute on a Sunday evening for a 9pm reservation. We were greeted at the entrance to the dining room by very friendly staff and seated instantly. We've been to the Rossmount before and have loved everything we've had and Sunday was no different. I had the Gargiollou (probably spelled wrong) and... More

The Rossmount has a wonderful setting and an intriguing history. Set back from the road it stands on a small hillock and the surroundings whet the appetite. I was expecting a great deal after hearing the raves from friends. I ordered a steak, medium rare: the center was more grey than red and the meat (Alberta beef) had turned chewy.... More

Everything was perfect. It could not have been better. My wife agreed as well, her food was marvelous, and the desserts were outstanding. All the food was fresh, from farm to table. Both the Atlantic Halibut and Haadock were from fresh locally landed fish and local small halibut has a very delectable flavor and flake. The heirloom tomato salad was... More

Its a little out of town doesn't look like much from road but it is wonderful. The wait staff and the food is simply outstanding. We tried the haddock over potatoes and it was wonderful the dessert was to die for. We did try the oyster shooters spicy and delicious.

A beautiful restaurant and environment (although from a drive by it doesn't look like much). Service was first class as was the food. A dress up evening. The swimming pool lights in the evening were magical. A must!
