We had to make a reservation for later in the evening but worth the wait. The schnitzel was tender & tasty. Mushroom sauce rocked. Roast potatoes very good. Would go back but where is the spatzle??

The beef we had here was the tenderest I can remember. It literally fell apart. It was very tasty and the service was excellent. A little pricier than some of the other places we ate but you also get what you pay for sometimes. The ambiance of this facility was great.

Eating Schnizel in a 350 year old building from Germany, you cannot get a better German dining experience then that. Portions were huge and good with fresh produce.

When we tried to make reservations the only time left was 8:45 but our friends promised it was worth it. It was different and delicious. Our husbands shared the Bavarian feast while we had the schnitzel and the sliced pork. The serving sizes are very generous and can be shared so you can actually enjoy the dessert too! Staff was... Our evening dinner started at 5:30 which was actually a good time to go with children (Age 3 and 6). We had pre-booked and now we know why! It's a very popular place, even on a rainy Thursday evening in the middle of August. We ended up ordering separate meals. I had the the veal with poached pears, Brie and... More

If you like German food and a unique Bavarian dining experience, make sure you check out the Baernhaus in Kimberley. The portions are very generous, so if you are a light eater, you could easily share a schnitzel dish and still satisfy your hunger. The building is over 300 years old and was shipped over from Bavaria and re-constructed in... More

My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday while we were visiting Kimberley. We weren't sure what to expect based on the exterior of the building, but went based on the trip advisor reviews. What a great choice! The meal was absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The room is very open, I would have preferred... More
