The German Experience We Sought

We wanted a traditional German meal as part of our Kimberley experience, and a local recommended Mozart to us. Turns out it was just what we were looking for. The owner brews his own beers: we tried three and enjoyed them. We had the usual German fare: schnitzel and sausages. The owner's... read more

On our recent trip, we stopped in here for breakfast. I was told by a man leaving the restaurant to order the Eggs Benedict. When we entered, there was a larger, older man sitting at a table and he turned out the work there and possibly own the establishment. I asked our waiter if I could have a half order... More

I think some have been a little hard on the old Mozart. It's not bad, kind of like going to a old uncles place. The food is alright the beer is cold so you can't really ask for to much more. If you want a quiet night go here.

If you enjoy having a server (who is also the owner) who seems ticked off that you chose to eat in their establishment, if you enjoy having your coaster tossed in front of you rather than placed on the table, If you dont want to eat at the same time as the rest of your party, if you are not... Ate dinner here. Never had German cuisine before and perhaps expected more than I should have. I had the Schnitzel and would call it just "good". Waitress was friendly but not very knowledgeable about the food.

Loved the pork schnitzel, well made. The steak special was excellent. Great soup. Nice comfy pub. Great local brewed beer.

With a name like Mozart, it is a good start. Walking in, it is a little daunting - dark decor, not modern. However the staff were on the spot, with good brew house beer & excellent food. Salad was fresh, the special was well made and well presented. This place is older, but a real treasure.

This restaurant has style. The decor is elegant complete with its large portraits of famous classical composers. Unfortunately, they've discontinued playing classical music but tastes vary and the current background music is relaxing and unobtrusive. The restauarnt brews its own excellent beer in a clean, modern, beautifully on-site brewery. We were also able to obtain cans and small bottles to... More

Had a great meal here on a very hot night this July. Everyone else in town was crowding into a different restaurant in the Platzl, we sat there first and it was crowded, noisy and hot so decided to walk back to Mozart's. What a great decision- we had a nice table on the front deck and enjoyed a really... More
