Description: My husband & I stopped in Tor's Fish & Chips last year ,2010. They had an ad for their fried Halibut sandwich!! We were vacationing for a week in this area and ate at Tor's Fish & Chips 3-4 times in that week. Absolutely the best in Orillia. No reason to try any other place. We sat with Doreen, owner, for quite a while during one of our visits. Very nice and hard working. I do hope she is doing well.

I've eaten Fish & Chips quite a few times in quite a few places in 70+ years and Tor's is the best I've had so far. I don't understand the 2 poor ratings below certainly not my experience after several visits - although in the case of the one review titled “Not the greatest! They rip you off!” I think... More

Senior discount on Wednesday. No table service. Fish and Sweet potato fries are delicious. Better brand of root beer would have been appreciated.

This fish was the absolute WORST fish I ever ate! Batter was very greasy and almost burned. Fries were soggy. There is apparently a very popular "Homemade Iced Tea" that we tried but avoid it unless you like Fruit Punch!

Greta fish and chips. Always a smiling face either when you eat in or take out. Go there for Friday nights but be early.

We went here recently and had great food. I'm from the east coast so not all fish places in Ontario are up to my standards but this place was great. Would go there again for sure!

So weve been going to Tors for a few months now. Try and make a 1 night a week date night for me and my wife and we go to tors.. Her grandmother showed her tors one day and she brought some home. Was actually pretty good. So we started eating there frequently. Weve been ordering the Halibut dinner everytime.... More

Great spot on Main Street, a walk to the waterfront. Delicious and delightful. Wouldn't go anywhere else for fish and chips in Orillia. My nephew also thinks the Poutine is the Bomb!

Tor's Fish and Chips is a must visit! Hard to find on main street as it doesn't have a sign out front. Just down the street from Mariposa Market. The fish is battered to order and cooked with love. Nice and fresh. The Clam Chowder is the best! Served with an awesome homemade biscuit. You MUST try dipping your hand... More

Cute, clean and cosy atmosphere. Just as the name says, it is a fish and chip restaurant. Place your order at the counter and it is served to you at your table. We had the halibut and chips along with the coleslaw. Excellent!! The fish was lightly battered and not at all greasy. The "chips" were some of the best... More

Amazing and pleasant, inexpensive and absolutely a must try. Cozie atmosphere and polite service. The food was like no other. We have been to the east coast and it did not even compare to that.
