My husband & I stopped in Tor's Fish & Chips last year ,2010. They had an ad for their fried Halibut sandwich!! We were vacationing for a week in this area and ate at Tor's Fish & Chips 3-4 times in that week. Absolutely the best in Orillia. No reason to try any other place. We sat with Doreen, owner, for quite a while during one of our visits. Very nice and hard working. I do hope she is doing well.

Good fish, good fries

Stopped in for the 3ed time while going pass Orillia. Great fish, great fries. Ordered onion rings with meal and was disappointed with the order size. Will be back but just for the fish and chips.

Great fish and chips. Eat in or take out. We usually get 1 piece of fish each, as the portions are great. We usually eat in, but I have called in a pick up order in the past. The restaurant is clean, I like the interior decoration throughout the restaurant. Nice small restaurant on the main core of downtown Orillia.... More

I have loved this place for 8years. We went last week after a long hiatus. It was my last visit. The batter has be changed, the serving choices have been taken away.. The serving of coleslaw is laughable The quality of the fish is awesome as always. Choices one piece lunch ,two piece dinner a thing of the past.

This was amazing fish and chips and I cant even believe they were fried as there was literally no traces of grease!!!! I'm getting older and cant handle greasy fish and chips without getting an upset stomach and this meal was amazing. Generous portions and my only beef is that this restaurant is not closer to my home because I... More

We ordered fish and chips for my grandfather's birthday and the fries were barely edible they were so greasy (you squeezed them and some grease came out they were THAT greasy). Fish was decent fish, but the batter was greasy and chewy. Reading the reviews this was not at all expected, so I don't know if they were having a... More

Great Fish and Chips, done the way they should be done. Light and crispy. Not heavy and greasy. We have been going to Tor's for about 15 years. The food os always fresh snd the staff are friendly. Don't change anything. Thx. Dr.Rico Canada

Every Wednesday the owners mother makes a fresh batch of chowder. She starts at six am and slowly creates the heavenly chowder over the next five hours. Often sold out. Not cheap, but worth every penny!

Regular visit... To Tor's for Great Fish & Chips. Always excellent, big pieces of mouth watering Halibut. Fries are fresh cut. Side salads are excellent. this is just an all-around, neat but plain restaurant. We are never disappointed here.

Traditional English style fish and chips at the foot of Mississaga Street. Generous helpings at a fair price. Don't forget to order coleslaw or mushy peas. !0 percent off on Wednesdays for seniors. Nice décor and quick service.

Had takeout from here the other night. Ordered two of the haddock & chips meals (with one of them having an extra piece of fish). The fish were large pieces, and the fries were home fries (most likely cut onsite) which were bountiful. Although the meal was good, the fish was a little more greasy than I was expecting which...
