Nice find

We had dinner here on our first night in Gan. Nice restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, service was great, and we very much enjoyed our potato skins!

We have been regulars at the Old English Pub but they're going to have to do better because we WANT to continue eating here. I would have liked a Big Blue (menu pic attached) but with a salad it would have cost $19!?!?....and the Steak & kidney pie was dry and very disappointing....had no gravy and lots of corn (corn?!)... Third meal there this week! Had a very enjoyable lunch today. Our meal included an incredible split-pea and ham soup that was so tasty for dinner last night, I had to come back for more today. We also enjoyed a crisp and well-balanced Caesar salad and the decadent Trattoria burger with tomato jam, mozzarella and roasted red peppers. In addition... More

This was a very pleasant surprise we did not expect to find on our stop in the 1000 islands area! Nice assortment of beer, excellent pub grub and a cozy atmosphere.

Service was really good. Staff was very attentive and the food eaten was great! Next time around I will definitely be trying the fish and chips. The burger I had was very good!

Nice atmosphere with a great food and a decent selection of regional craft beers. You can usually catch some live music on the weekend. You will find the menu is a little different than most pubs with an interesting variety and the desserts are to die for.

After reading reviews of this pub, I decided to give it a try. Big mistake! I opted to have the special Open Face Roast Beef sandwich. The pieces of beef were tough, the bun was rock-hard, the canned peas were cold and so was the gravy. I couldn't leave fast enough.

A friend and I have eaten here often. The food quality is good.. the service is great... the value for $$ is good. We will return again and recommend it to our friends.

Your standard English style pub, unfortunately, the pub fare was less than standard. Had the Steak and Ale pie: would not have it again. The wife had the Main Street burger: same story. Can't comment on the beers, because we went for lunch and didn't have any. I would give it 1 star, but the service was good, and the... More
