We had the daily specials chicken schnitzel and sauerbraten. The service was fast and the waiter was friendly but the schnitzel was only average and the sauerbraten was quite dreadful. I would not go back.

We were really surprised at finding this really good Czech restaurant in this small town. We got back from Vienna a month ago and there was in my mind no comparison in the schnitzel we had in the touristy old city in Austria and here. The meal is made-to-order with fresh ingredients. The preparation was excellent and the portions generous.... More

I was driving on the 401 and decided to drop in to Gananoque. I remember there used to be a really good pizza place here many years ago and couldn't find it. Checked on TA and saw this place and thought it might make for an interesting lunch. Since everyone raved about the schnitzel, I thought I would order one... More

If you are looking for a typical snitzel restaurant this is fine. The meal was good - nice flavours to the beet soup and chicken snitzel. The service was friendly but lacked something. Dessert was terrible - my girlfriend was show. A plastic wrapped carrot cake and creme brule was a messy / watery dish. I guess you have to... More

A lovely, clean, and friendly environment. Good specials and interesting menu - something for everyone! Schnitzel lightly breaded, tender and not deep fried. Home fried potato and onions, with touch of butter, mmmm! Sauerbraten with a delicious sauce and perfect seasoning. The owners/chefs use their years of experience to deliver a great dinner, cooked from scratch but served quickly. Going... More

My husband and I ate there after a tour of boldt castle. We had intended on dining elsewhere but that spot wasnt open. Im very happy that it wasn't, as the meal here was fantastic. I ordered the salmon and it was by far the best salmon I have ever tasted at a restaurant. We have dined at some pretty... More

Stopped here for a quick snack/lunch in between sporting activities. We felt like having some traditional schnitzel and loved it! Definitely recommended, the dinner menu looked amazing with endless choices and varieties of schnitzel. Make sure you stop in even for a little taste in between meals if you've got an agenda!

The menu is very attractive, the reality is dismal. We were 6 in our party including 2 young children and were advised by our server to order for the children right away as a large group had just arrived and she was concerned that the children would have to wait too long for their dinner. We needed to get their... More

Since there are two sides to every story let me give you mine. First you or part of your party arrived and waited for a good twenty minutes for the rest of your party to arrive. While you waited for your companions the place filled up and by the time you placed your order, many others had placed theirs as... More

We visit this restaurant once during our stay in Gananogue. For people who never try Eastern European kitchen is very interesting and unusual. Snitzels and Borshch(Red Ukrainian/Polish soup) are tasty. My family familiar with kitchen from Eastern Europe. Dishes are good, and i recommend this restaurant.

Waiter moved very slowly and was forgetful. May be an all family run business. Sauerbraten portion small and meat fairly dry. Could see male cook in kitchen taste testing and smelling a container of some liquid ingredient before he decided to use it. This happens in kitchens all the time so I wasn't shocked but it certainly isn't great to... More
