Cuisines: French

Description: In a beautfull building recently built(2005)in Magog on the main street. 5 min. walking distance from Memphremagog Lake. We are a restaurant serving french bistro style cuisine (''one of the best bistro lunch this side of the Atlantic''New York Times, Sept. 21, 2003) breakfast and lunch, dinner in summer only. We particularly recommand our homemade smoked salmon, potted rillette and duck liver mousse or terrine of foie gras. Bring your own wine starting in Aug.2013. Very nice terrace in the back on River Magog overlooking the marina. We are also making our own pastry, everything made from scracth, pure butter and cream and finally a real french bakery producing crusty baguette and sour dough breads with no fat or sugar, cooked right on the stone of the oven.We are now producing many items gluten free:cakes and pastries, restaurant dishes and even breads.

We stopped in Magog on our way to Montreal via the Eastern Township loop. Beautiful little town on the lake. We split a sandwich of grilled chicken breast with a salad and I also had the vegetable soup. The sandwich was very good, but the soup was outstanding. I had never had a pureed version of vegetable soup and it... More

Spent a long time waiting, when finally served, was given old, cold croissants. Really expensive. Not great experience, will never go back.

This boulangerie has become our regular place to have lunch whenever we stay in Magog. It reminds us of a typical boulangerie in Paris with excellent lunches, often followed by delectable pastries and coffee. We visited Magog this weekend and visited the cafe three times (twice for lunch and once for afternoon deserts), knowing that we could depend on good... More

Thius is a great place for a snack or lunch - also, visit their place in Mansonville (Owl's Head) which is quaint, has great baked good, frozen dinners, and a wonderful place for lunch (when they're open!).

Very nice place for lunch. Great service & tasty food. Ordered the 3 duck rillette with salad (really meaty & tasty duck), duck breast with Saint Benedict Abbey cheese panini with salad (with toasted walnuts - scrumptiously good!) blueberry tartlet & meringue with chocolate ganache filling (very yummy). Overall nice simple tasty lunch. Service was good & food came quickly.

We had lunch here on our way back to Manoir Hovey after visiting Abbaye Saint Benoit-du-lac. The notice on the door that it was recommended by TripAdvisor told us we would not be disappointed. We chose from the chalkboard specials and were richly rewarded with well-prepared and beautifully presented meals. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we returned the... More

This was a great spot for lunch in Magog. There is a nice waterfront view and pleasant surroundings (rhough too cold for the outdoor seating.) The soups de jour of vegetable soup and gazpacho were both excellent. The smoked salmon was beautifully presented and delicious. The Nicoise salad was also top notch. The bread is heavenly (and there were lots... More

Thank you for a nice comment. Our smoked salmon was well congratulated by the New York Tmes with our homemade duck liver mousse and potted meats that you should try next time. More

Fast and friendly service. Descent cappuccino etc. The sandwiches, soup and baked goods looked tasty and better than the lunch we had at a nearby pub, though we did not eat there as we only wanted coffee. Nice view of the river.

Thank you for coming to our place. You definitely have to try a lunch in our place (homemade smoked salmon and potted rillettes, foie gras and delicious special of the day, made only with fresh ingredients; our gaspacho is much appreciated!) and starting next week (July 1st) dinner from Thursday to Saturday night. Hope to see you soon. More

We went in this bakery expected a nice breakfast but were really disapointed. Hot chocolate was good but served with just 1 pastry or 3 tiny toasts (not even baguette!), no juice but good jam. We bought our next breakfast in IGA and have it in our hotel room.

We apologize for answering so late, but it took us a while to figure how it works, so here it is: We have sinse modified our breakfast menu and we are now serving 'eggs benedict on weekend only basis with added items. However, it's too bad you did not have one of our croissants' rated tops by 'La Presse' Jan... More
