Genuinely stunned this place is getting such universally rave reviews. Have eaten here twice and both times it’s been mediocre. Mostly it’s related to the casual service; asking for ‘some’ bread and being snapped at that ‘it’s coming’. This turned out to be one (1) small slice each as opposed to a basket etc that I was willing to pay... More

Lovely atmosphere, good menu, food very well cooked and presented. Excellent wine list with soft and alcoholic drinks. Situated at the edge of a beautiful forest, a nice stroll after lunch rounded of the meal.

Fab puds, and eclectic mix of spirits, where can you try Welsh or Japanese whisky? Book to visit, evem if you go for lunch or Sundsy roast you wont regret... More

Very disappointed - after reading all the reviews we were really looking forward to Sunday lunch but it was obvious that all the food (roast beef, roast pork and potatoes) were cooked ready for 12 noon but as we were eating after 3pm the food was over cooked and reheated. The roast beef was served with a very dry over... More

My husband and I took his Dad out to the Swiss house for his birthday dinner. We went on a Sunday night and it was very quiet in the restaurant; we were one of three tables, and stayed the latest out of the bunch. Dad had been gifted a nice bottle of wine as a birthday present and we took... More

Had fantastic Sunday lunch with son, daughter In law and young children. The food and service was excellent. A lovely playground for the children to use in the afternoon sunshine. Best roast Manx beef we have tasted!
