This was our first visit. We sat on the patio which, on that very hot day, was a poor choice as the glass tabletop reflected the sun, making it feel ever hotter. Rearranging the umbrella helped. The first impression was mixed. The tables were nicely set, the napkins were linen and not paper, and the silverware was pristine but the... More

Went to the Heartland Café in Okotoks this past Sunday. For whatever reason our order took a very long time - the server was very very good about constantly checking with us and the kitchen. By the time it arrived it was quite late - the server took half the bill off the total and complimented the wine. We did... More

Decided to go to Okotoks for lunch after visiting the Millarville market. I managed to snag a table on the patio. The server was very pleasant and my iced tea came promptly . I decided to have the pulled pork sandwich with the fresh vegetable soup, an excellent decision. Both were delicious and hit the spot . Everyone seemed to... More

This is my second visit, the first one was OK (possibly helped by a boozy lunch...) so my other half and I went yesterday for our anniversary and were quite disappointed. We arrived bang on time and were shown to a table. The ambience is nice, needs some music or something though. It took 15 mins to get a drink and... More

I was looking for somewhere unique to have dinner with mother-in-law. This was a good choice. The food is homemade with a touch of unusual. I went on a Saturday night, and reservation was needed. Waitress said kitchen is small, so that made service somewhat slow - so go there relaxed. I'll return with daughters. enjoyed it.

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, and the people who work there are very knowledgeable. They also had very great gluten free options! I am always very impressed eating here.

The food and wine here are delicious. The atmosphere is really great. Its always busy so be prepared to wait a bit for your food to arrive. A must when visiting Okotoks!

I can't complain about the food, but the cost overcomes my desire to come back to eat it again. There is a point of diminishing returns for any restaurant that serves high quality fare and that point is obviously a moving scale for each individual. In my experience; I've paid highly for quality fare and been happy to return for... More

A wonderful spot for lunch in Old Towne Okotoks. The Heartland is found in one of Okotoks historic buildings and serves a selection of delicious soups, salads, homemade breads, a variety of luncheon items and desserts, all freshly prepared from (to the extent possible) local produce and meats. The Heartland is busy so either reserve or get there early.
