More selection than your average Thai restaurant

I have not been back for years but when hubby wanted to visit, I thought, sure, I will give it another try. I was pleasantly surprised. Ordered Tom Yum Gai and it was delicious. We just moved into the neighbourhood and saw this place just a couple of blocks. I really enjoy Thai food so this was the first place we visited. What a treat! The food was excellent and the service was pretty attentive (however we had gotten there right when they opened at 5 pm and there was only one other couple... More

My wife and I eat here regularly. The lunch specials are cheap (under $10), tasty and are decent sized portions. I like the Red Curry (it is not too spicy) and comes with a cucumber salad taster dish and a chicken skewer with the peanut sauce. You might also order the Thai coffee. Their Pad thai is great too.

We spent 3 months traveling through South East Asia, including almost a month in Thailand. This restaurant is the closest to authentic that we have found. We've only gone for lunch and found the food to be fantastic and the prices extremely reasonable. The décor is not much to write home about, but the nice staff and amazing food completely... More

I don't want to write a review about Lhy Thai for very selfish reasons -- I don't want the secret out. I don't want line-ups out the door. On the other hand, Paul the owner is a sweet guy and he deserves whatever success comes his way. So here we go... I've been coming to Lhy Thai for years, often... More

My hub and I went to this restaurant last night. The decor is very homey and the owner was really nice - feel like my dad! My hub ordered red curry and I ordered prawn Phat Thai. The food portion was great so we finished them all without having to go box. I found the sauce for Phat Thai was... More

I have been going to Lhy Thai since it opened. The food is consistently good, the service is quite good and the prices are reasonable. The Tom Yum soup is tasty and so are the spring rolls fresh and crunchy. A good place to go with old and new friends alike. Order the Panang Curry #28, you 'll be happy... More

Yummy, yummy thai food at very reasonable prices. The decor is very dated, cluttered, and not terribly well kept, but we usually order take out so it hardly matters to us. The food is excellent and cheap and the service is very polite and attentive. Order at least an hour ahead for take out during peak times or expect to... More

Get it? Tie into lunch? at a Thai place? meh... One of the top choice places in the south Burnaby, Edmonds, New Westminster area. The scramble is always on to get a window seat, but it means nothing. A little bit of the close seating variety, this is no place for a lovers secret rendezvous or high power business meeting.... More
