We ate at this hotel restaurant when staying at the Delta Burnaby. The food was very good and the service was attentive I just found the menu to be a bit odd ($300 shark fin anyone?!). Perhaps it is just quite authentic and I'm not familiar with true Chinese cuisine. The food itself was very tasty though.

All dishes were authentic. Good quality, flavourful and appropriately spiced. The BBQ pork buns are a treat that makes an excellent desert when the egg tarts are sold out.

We arrived at 8:00 on a Thursday night without reservations. In spite of previous reviews saying the reservations were totally necessary, we thought we would give it a go since it was past "prime" hours. The six of us were seated right away. My spouse is Chinese and we eat out Chinese a lot. This restaurant is up there as... More

Tons of choices and great tasting food. Various types of tea and this place reminded me so much of my trip to Beijing. Great food - Great Service.

You can make reservations for dim sum which is rare. The food is hot ,tasty, well presented. The staff are attentive and courteous. All in all a step above the norm for the Vancouver area and a bonus that it is in Burnaby.

With the many out of town guests during this summer, I decided to try the Grand Dynasty. Since I am on a vegan-no oil diet, I was very pleased to note the many vegetarian dishes on their menu. Although many of the vegetarian dishes were deep fried or sauteed, I was able to find a few dishes for my restricted... More

This is a high end authentic chinese food restaurant. And yes the prices on some of the seafood specialty items will reflect that as well. I had dinner here on a business trip, but wished I could have been there during a dim sum session...I am sure it would have been worth it. So I just had the basic dinner... More

If you don't want to travel to Richmond or Vancouver to eat Chinese, Grand Dynasty has been our #1 choice for Dim Sum and dinner. The plates and dim sim items are a bit more, but it's worth it. You don't feel like you've eaten greasy or food with lots of MSG. The service, especially from manager, Simon, is fantastic.... More

Dim sum...Chinese lunch that has small bowls of bamboo steamers laden with the most delectable goodness. For those that have never had dim-sum..it would be best if you took along someone that is comfortable with the process. I would think that it would be petty intimidating if you have no insights. Often too, the staff has trouble explaining what's what.... More
