A place to visit if you like East Aftican atmosphere and food. Very tasty dishes, great location, great variety of real African tasting foods!

We walked in here by chance as we were aimlessly looking for food. I wouldn't say that the food is moderate or inexpensively priced as it is somewhat pricy, but the taste is quite interesting. I would consider the spices to be somewhat like Indian, but it's not.The ambiance is fairly good and the staff and owner were great.

This place was a nice change of pace, we were quite happy to find something a little different than usual. The decor is funky, the space is small and quaint. The food was fantastic! Super tasty, and huge portions which nobody quite managed to finish. Was so refreshing to find goat stews and cassava fries and things..! Although their were... More

We've eaten here on both our recent trips to Vancouver, and will be back! Great African inspired food with spicy but not too hot sauces. Options for vegetarians are available, especially if they eat fish. We loved the deep fried cassava root and fried fish bites as appetizers. We then had the lamb biryani, curried mushrooms, shrimp with spinach, and... More

It's a cozy African restaurant very close to the Stanley park. Their Kebobs and Beryani are the best. I believe the food style is from Kenya, and it is actually a fusion with Indian spices and rice. It's super delicious and the owner himself would walk around the tables to greet you and make sure you liked your food. The... More

We had an entertainment coupon and decided to give Simba's a visit based on reviews on TripAdvisor and yelp. It didn't disappoint. We got the chef's special mix plate. Even though our coupon was buy one meal and get one free and chef's special was considered only one meal, the owner let us use that coupon for that one meal... More

I've never had better African food. The meats were velvety smooth, the sauces were divine and their coffee is heavenly. Coupled with a lovely atmosphere it was an unforgettable experience. Highly, highly recommended.

The food is just tasty and tangy and abundant. We had the lamb chops and the Kuku Masala Chicken. Both dishes were flavorful, nicely presented and good to the palate. We also ate a naan and my wife had a mango lassi. Great service and the owner and his team always do a super job.

Very generous portions. Food was well presented and very tasty. Good value for the price. Only problem is the location. Terrible lack of parking in the area.

We are old customers and followed the restaurant from burnaby. Had reservations for 10 people, got there the owner was throwing major attitude as to why we had extra people, grabbed a 2 seated table and gave away to someone else. That was just the beginning!! We requested for ribs dinner and he told his staff not to give it... More
