We were staying at the Travelodge 2 doors down, so walked over to Freddies, as it was the only place we could reach by foot and were too tired to go searching elsewhere. Interior dark and dingy, so sat out on the enclosed patio overlooking out across the parking lot and road to the water. My wife ordered a halibut... More

This is a great little eating place walking distance from the Travel Lodge on Island Hwy. and right by the ocean. The service was excellent, food is good and on Wednesday's you can get 10 wings for $3.00. They also have takeout so you can take back to your hotel and eat if you want.

Nice late afternoon retreat. Relaxing, older group there... a few motorbikes and low key music. The chicken wings were great and so was the cold beer and keno. Our server was fantastic,; friendly and attentive. Just as we were leaving it got busy. Not many vehicles outside so I guess many were from the numerous hotel/motel/inn condo complexes around the... Next door to the Best Western, a family friendly hotel, but don't allow children for dinner, even in their patio. We ended up with a takeaway, but it was no better than average. Will go into town in future.

This pub was near my hotel. The food is pub food, sandwiches steaks, fish and chips and some specials. I was there three days and had roast beef au jus, club sandwich and the special Black Forest schnitzel and they were all good. Their fries were delicious and the schnitzel came with rice pilaf and lightly sautéed veggies, also excellent.... More

After a long wait we were served inedible food. This is the worst food we have encountered in Canada. My wife had something described as fish which was stuffed with a grey mush I had linguine in a flour sauce. The portions were twice the necessary size. They could spend the same amount of money on smaller portions with better... More

What a tremendous pub! I know it's been said many times already, but I really have to say... The atmosphere wow! The beverage selection? Huge... The food... Oh the fabulous, true pub, legit homemade goodness. They really offer a varied selection, with beautiful local seafood options. Amazing assortment of daily specials. This humble locally owned pub has it all! Kudos!

The food here is excellent and varied. Everything from simple meals to full dinners, delicious and filling. It is a bar setting with an outside patio and lots of locals. There is a pool table where our adult children had some fun before and after our meal. 10% discount with some neighbouring hotel stays. House red wine is a wonderful... More

Friendly staff, nice pint, slightly dated and not the most comfy seats but good atmosphere when there's a sporting event on tv but did close very early sometimes

Good value for Pub fare. Nice place to meet friends. Good prices. Used to be a little tired but still going strong, compared to other choices I would say it is a great choice due to a relaxed atmosphere and a convenient location.
