My family found it extremely greasy. It also had a strange taste wether they used really old oil or what. The staff was friendly but it was totally grosse. I usually do not write reviews but feel they need to.

Normally I would drive right past a place like this, but having heard lots of positive comments from locals, we decided to give it a try. You drive up to this 'drive in' but don't wait for the carhop! You will need to go to the window to place your order from a limited menu of hamburgers, fries and basic... More

Tried George's as we love a good burger. Not only was the order wrong but the grease was way too much. Fries underdone. Was not impressed.

George's take-out used to be located next to an old well-used pub. The pub was demolished years ago but George's carries on because of its loyal customers. There is nothing amazing here - just consistent quality and quantity and ease of access. PS. The George burger (whatever they call it) is legend.

I ate at Georges today for the first time. I've read good things on here about the place and i had heard good things, and i must say I'm a little disappointed. The Chinese was pretty tasty but the burgers were average. My friend didn't want to finish his ate finding a fairly large piece of bone in his patty.... More

The pic above is NOT of George's, which is actually just a take-out window! You order and THEN they make your food while you wait, and it's not a long wait. Very efficient service and absolutely amazing burgers! (Try the combo) We love this little place for take out meals :)

A burger with taste. A tradition that never gets old. Grilled bun, fried onions processed cheese. and flavour like Gramma used to make. Good fries. The service is like the soup Nazi's from Sienfields sitcom but you can overlook that because of the flavour.

George's "joint" is a little hole in the wall next to a pizza place. NOT the place pictured! I have to have a minimum of 100 characters so here goes - if you don't mind standing outside on the sidewalk for the best burger in Courtenay, that's all the atmosphere you'll experience @ George's.
