OK, small pub with Sushi? Hell yes, and darn good sushi as well! total surprise for a small town best western. The chef's Omakase was delicious. If your near by, check it out. Nothing beats cold beer, sushi and sports in high def...

The waitress was very friendly and the food was delicious. The music was a little too loud for lunch time, though.

After moving away from the Comox Valley over a year ago I was very happy to see that my favorite pub and my favorite staff were still providing top notch food & beverage as well as top notch service. A recent addition of a Sushi Bar was a pleasant surprise :) Location can't be beat and I look forward to... More

I was rate this place just okay. The pizza margerita was deliscious once then bad the next. The Poutine was delicious when it had pork belly on it and just average and a little overpriced when they took it off and kept it at the same price. Sometimes we have great service and sometimes the staff takes a while to... More

As we came for dinner and drinks the place became so packed and so insanely loud! Pubs are supposed to be a place to drink with friends and eat some good pub food. I couldn't even hear myself think and we couldn't hear each other across the table! This place is more like a club! It even had a doorman.... More

Last night we were treated to great music at the Flying Canoe Pub at the Westerly Hotel. The pub brought in a fantastic blues duo (Diana ? And Chris Whiteley). Absolutely as good as any blues I have ever heard live anywhere including Chicago. The room was packed. Staff had set tables with white table cloths, and we're dressed up... More

This Pub is part of The Best Western - Westerly Hotel. I read the previous review on the burger and had to post my review. The burger was made in house (not the plastic garbage you get at fast food chains). Yes, it only had the one Patty (not Paddy) but that being said it was almost an inch thick!... More

We went to this place because i had received some points cards redeemable at this pub. Would never eat here again. We both had the "Flying Canoe best burger in the whole valley". For value at $14 each, it came with single hamburger paddy, and a few fries on the plate. Definitely not the best burger . Not even as... More

My wife and I decided on an informal dinner, found this and liked it. TV's overhead and decor typical of most pubs but service and food very good. Pizza was awesome, the young lady that served us was right on the ball. We enjoyed. You will too.

We went out to the flying canoe with friends on a saturday night, and had a great time! They had a really good variety of drink specials at the best prices I've seen in the Comox Valley. And when we needed snacks to go with our drinks they also had some deliciously addictive deep fried pickles, my new favourite bar... More
