This place makes burgers like no other! They are huge and insanely tasty! If you have room, (and I seriously doubt you will), try the chocolate "F" bomb! It's probably the greatest chocolate, Kailua sautéed banana, brownie and whipped cream concoction I've ever come across. BUUUURP!.... Excuse me... ;)

My hub heard about this place from 'Ya Gotta Eat Here' tv show. The lone waitress was friendly, but she was run off her feet and forgot to put our order in. We waited for a long time before she realized. Took over an hour to get our simple order. The soup was over spiced and watery. I couldn't eat... More

The Mad Chef Cafe may be bare bones in decor however the food presentation, taste and portions are over the top. I was there recently with my son, daughter, and three grand daughters (ages 1 - 9). We all had great food and a great time. The girls loved the kids menu - I will not give away any of... More

Recently went for lunch here and it was great, huge variety with a different twist as to menu combinations and the descriptions of the menu items.

I had an alright experience at the Mad Chef last month and was wanting to go again. The menu just seemed so appealing. The service was much better this time. Unfortunately everything else was embarrassing for them. They charged us $1 for a bottle of water, due to the water advisory. That's alright as I understand restaurants have razor thin... More

A burger joint with out potatoes is like a pub with no beer. Burgers had toppings that were there to give the bland beef an exotic flair. Less is more. Diversify the menu, improve the service and keep it simple. The fryer must have been too expensive for the budget with the auto shop decor. The Irish survived, this place... More

There is a certain uniqueness of the Mad Chef that's very attractive. I like the decor. I like the crazy menu and the names of dishes. Had a duck burger that was amazing! I asked the server to recommend a side and she brought me some potatoes with beer cheese. Not so amazing. The potatoes were so overcooked and tasted... More
