Great Lunch

This past week 8 Red Hat ladies had a delicious lunch at the Bisque. The food was excellent & the service very good. Two of our ladies think it is the best restaurant in Courtenay.

Bisque has become our "go to" restaurant for both lunches and evening meals. The food is scrumptious. I haven't tried a menu item that I'd didn't like. They specialize in sea food but there are items for meat eaters too. And the service is always first class and friendly.

We returned to Bisque during the Comox Valley Dine Out and were very pleased with our meal. The 3 course dinner was accompanied by amuse bouche, bread, and chocolates = very good value. The paella we both had as our mains was innovative and exceptional. You can also get a decent bottle of wine for $32/bottle. Good service with the... More

We like to go to Bisque when we are celebrating something and want something really nice to eat. It's a small place tucked just around the corner from the main drag through Courtenay BC with a chef who really knows how to prepare the lovely fresh local seafood they feature there. He also makes a killer schnitzel which is my... More

We have never had a bad meal in this restaurant. It is very hard for us not to order the Prawns in a basket because it is amazing.

Maralee (the owner) and the team at Bisque made my parent's 50th anniversary dinner on May 16th a memorable experience. Our family has so many life-threatening food allergies plus intolerances that it's often difficult to eat out and feel safe. While my mom had talked to Maralee ahead of time about my youngest daughter's allergy to peanuts and nuts, she... More

This place just quietly accumulated disappointment after disappointment. Service was in trained and uninspired. Seafood was at best over cooked and unseasoned, but worst of all we had to take food out of our mouths because it was not edible. Funky mussels. No requests by the servers why food remained on the plate. I also wondered why we were declined... More

Small restaurant, inspired dishes. Chef run establishment offers great food at a moderate price. We both ordered the nightly special, Grilled snapper in oyster sauce with ginger prawns and scallops with local vegetables and peppers. The dish was perfectly balanced, colourful and very flavourful. Prior to this, a basket of warm bread, and complimentary amuse-bouche of cream cheese, smoked salmon,... More

We booked in for a Friday night dinner, my birthday. It exceeded expectations. I had the bisque and the seafood special. My partner had the crab cakes and the lamb sirloin. The bisque was rich, smooth and tasty, almost a meal in itself, large portion. The snapper, prawns and scallops with ginger and interesting vegetables was amazing. Unfortunately I was too... More
