Excellent food, service, atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and will be going back myself, soon.

Cranbrook has never appealed much to me as most people driving highway through just get the impression of a giant truck stop with fast food places lining the highway. If you actually drive into town it is actually quite quaint. In amongst this quaintness is Sakura, a pretty decent and authentic Japanese restaurant. We've been a few times for everything... More

We always enjoy our meals here. One of my husband's and kids favorite places to eat. We have tried several other sushi restaurants and sakura is still or favorite.

I love sushi and enjoyed the new flavors offered by Sakura. They also have a very whimsical decor. Only downside is they are a little overpriced.

We stopped for Lunch in Cranbrook and found Sakura Sushi. This was a nice surprise to find a good sushi place so far from the coast. The nigiri was very good and fresh. (yes the use farm salmon but this is a small issue) The miso soup was tasty and the service very friendly and attentive. Would go back any... More

Salmon is farmed, which is nowhere near as good as wild. Veggie roll very good. Service, nothing to complain about. Rolls were a bit pricey IMO but I eat sushi in Vancouver so I'm spoilt for choice.

Whenever my boyfriend and I want to go out for a nice dinner, we always go to Sakura. The food is always amazing each time and I have never been disappointed. It's always consistently good, which is sometimes hard to get from restaurants. If you want amazing sushi, friendly service and a nice atmosphere, this is definitely one of the... More

Everything was great, the food, the service, the price and the atmosphere. We had a desert roll with mango that was excellent. I would definitely eat here again

Walked to Sakura on a rainy evening. On our walk, the streets were completely empty - perhaps because EVERYONE was in the restaurant! We had a delicious meal of nigiri, special rolls and katsu. While they were quite busy, the service was attentive and we felt taken care of.
