We stopped here on trek to BC as we have before. Usually I love a cool old diner type place and can even put up with a lil' grime in places that are really busy and trying the best they can, but the fuzzy dusty ceiling and fur dust on the fans, tiny and filthy washroom detracted too much from... Just had lunch here, I was very excited to go to the 50s diner because it sounds so fun...got there and realized the place looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the 50s. The cook was so slow making out food that we almost walked out. We were there for over 2 hours and not because we wanted to be.... More

Always stop for lunch when heading to Alberta- usually grab something like Subway- decided to try a sit down instead- wish we had just got fast food. The place was so dirty- dishes everywhere, floor filthy, as were the bathrooms, that sort of thing. We were sitting along side where we could look down the line and everything we saw... More

So, driving past this little diner, it caught my eye. Love trying the little cafe and diner type places that aren't chain. Well, the look of it and decor I love! That was the pros, here's the cons of the my visit... The restaurant was not very clean, service was not only very slow but server had also forgot the... More

This place is REALLY dirty ...the floors, the tables, the corners of the booths.... The place was packed with people and there were two waitresses. The owner really didn't seem that perturbed...she just took her time walking around. The chef was working hard and sweating it out at the grill.... Perhaps the dirtiest restaurant I have ever seen.

The "50s" decor is limited to framed posters of Elvis and chipping pink paint. It's no more a 50s diner than McDonalds is a gourmet dining room. This place is FILTHY. The floors, the ledges, the windows, the napkin holders, the booths, the kitchen, our server's stained apron. There was debris from meals on our table and window ledge (empty... More

Breakfast was great with lots of selection. Multiple choices of bread for toast, including gluten free. The only criticism was that the breakfasts came out at different times (there were 5 of us) and the toast did not come out with the meals. Would definitely stop there again.
