A Hidden Treasure

We had heard great things about All Season's Café from friends who make it an annual stop on their visits to the Kootenays. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table, overlooking an adorably lit and decorated patio. Our server, originally from California, was very charming and happy to... read more

So here is the thing... food, atmosphere, company was excellent. Usually when you have such terrible service, it ruins your night. I don't want to exaggerate, here is the absolute truth. We were the first two of a group of eight to arrive. The server did not even acknowledge us for 21 minutes. I timed it. After finally asking the... More

I've never come across someone who loves the sound of their own voice as much as you and I have been in the service industry for 40 years. Your complaints or observations are unfounded at best to help spin your tale of hardship. 21 minute wait to order drinks, impossible, and yes we do run out of wines every once... More

I had heard that this restaurant was one of the best in Nelson, and it is certainly one of the most expensive... However, it fell way short of our expectations. The service was mediocre, the food was okay, but not worth the $32 main entree cost... all-in-all a disappointment, especially having had an amazing dinner at Bibo next door the... More

In a town with tons of choices for great eats you dont have to pay these prices for a good meal. Cute building and location. Vast wine list it is not even on the top ten dining places on my Nelson restaurant list.

The food and atmosphere is simply beautiful. Elegant while still being comfortable. Fresh, quality ingredients and wonderful flavours. It's the perfect place to linger over a great bottle of wine.

My sister and I enjoyed a great meal here during a recent visit to Nelson. We had the scallops and tiger prawns to start -- both were delicious. This was followed by halibut and a steak. Both were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. The owner also recommended a very nice bottle of viognier. The icing on the cake, so... More

Thank you for wonderful review and heads up about the WC. Turns out the fan got switched off somehow and the problem has since been resolved. See you next time you are in Nelson. Paul More

The meal was superlative-one of the best we've ever had!My husband had the special, lamb sirloin, while I had the duck breast. The lamb was excellent, but we both agreed that the duck stole the show!!We now have a new special occasion restaurant.

The All Seasons Cafe is a charming restaurant in an old house tucked away off a side street. The food is universally good and the restaurant has a great wine list of international and wines from BC.

We had yet another great meal here, there are also a brilliant selection of wines. We had a good selection of the menu between us and each course was great, of this particular menu I loved the scallops, the duck breast and the chocolate espresso torte, but unless you go soon this menu may change. Nice service, not rushed but... More
