Chocolate croissant and nanaimo.....excellent!!! Very tasty! Gotta try them both. That's all we had, but the hot food section looked good, too. Super nice people!

On our way up to Kaslo we stopped quickly in Balfour and discovered this wonderful bakery. The Scones not only look amazing, they taste AMAZING!!! By far the best scones I think I have had. My husband bought 2 cookies and they were also fantastic. The next day we were walking through Nelson and I was excited to see the... More

We picked up a couple of pastries and coffees when waiting for the ferry. It is no surprise that it was so busy. The food is fabulous and the cafe latte can easily compete with the Starbucks of this world. Skip breakfast at home and come here in the morning before catching the Kootenay Ferry at Balfour.

A favorite stop while staying in the area and when getting on and off the Ferry! Pastries are delicious, samosas hot and spicy, sausage rolls a favorite, bread like Mom's! Large portions! Mmm delicious!

They only had one variety of muffin which seemed odd - and I wish we had tasted them before buying a few. None of us could eat them, despite being starving! I don't know if... More

During a nice bike ride I wandered into the ferry area and wanted to see what was in the bakery. I saw a pretty nice cream puff filled with whipped cream, Bavarian cream, and berries. It was a perfect size for me (sometimes they can be too big) and this was a nice indulgence during a bike ride from Nelson... More

While parked in line waiting at the Balfour Ferry Terminal I wandered into this bakery and what a charming little bakery. I felt as if I walked into one of those little European store front bakeries I saw in Belgium, France and other places in Western Europe. The smell of baking bread was wonderful and I found a couple of... More
