This restaurant is worth a special trip to Nelson just to experience. The location and ambience are wonderful, as is the super friendly and charming staff. The raison d'être of a restaurant though, is the food, and Bibo's resoundingly delivers. Expensive, but good value. Great wine list and good selection of wine by the glass, even without New Zealand and... More

It's a small restaurant that features small, shareable dishes. Very friendly wait staff, exotic cocktails, and wonderful food. Highly recommended!

Bibo is a trendy high end dining experience. We went for appys and drinks, which were both made with great ingredients and tasted fantastic. Our server was very friendly, and we were happy to have gone. The atmosphere is dark, and feels very lounge like. It is a full meal sit down restaurant.

We do have a variety of starters from $4-15 and mains from $20 - 25 as well as a Striploin Steak for $29. The quality is high end but there is something for a variety of tastes and budgets. We also just installed great new warmer lighting on one side of the restaurant but you can still find a cozy,... More

Bibo is a very busy place. Consequently it is not the place for an intimate dinner. The liquor list is extensive as is the wine list. The food is pricey but very good. I had the lamb shank and it was very tasty. Still you won't feel stuffed because portions are smaller.

The feel of the room depends on how busy it is. You may certainly find a more intimate experience if you are looking to come of a quieter night. Peak times it is bustling but we can often book you at a quieter table if requested. Some plates are bigger than others and our servers are happy to make suggestions... More

Excellent dinner, very accommodating & friendly staff and a lovely intimate venue. Not the easiest to find but well worth the effort. The food isn't cheap but it was superbly cooked.

Sat outside in the warm August evening and enjoyed everything on our plates. Kids options available. Romantic and family oriented, kitchy... not in-expensive but not out there.

The menu is gourmet, the wine list is large, the ambience is dark and cosy. A great place for a romantic dinner, or a party of six. The servers are very willing to converse with the guests, and you can spend the whole evening there and not feel rushed. It is in a small alleyway called Herridge Lane, just half... More

A couple of friends and I came here to have drinks and some food. We had just traveled from Vancouver and were looking for a light dinner and wine. We had a lovely Gewurtztraminer, I don't remember from where but we had two bottles. We also ordered the Duck Confit and the Mezze platter. The duck was really good but... More

We were getting duck that varied in size from one farm, but we have since been able to source more consistent sized duck from a new farm. Glad you enjoyed your experience and thank you! June More
