This pub is well located in a heritage home . The ambience is wonderful with wood burning fireplaces . In summer the outdoor area cannot be beaten for view and location. The food is consistently good , and the owner family are nice people who know how to cook and present fine pub fare . Great selection of brews also... More

We loved this place. Know for traditional English Pub Fare this place delivers. We ended up having dinner twice here and both times did not disappoint. The first time I had the cod and chips and my husband had the steak and kidney pie. All I can say is delicious. The cod was very fresh and flaky and my husband's... More

Not sure this pub can be called British, unless this is a comment on our poor service. However there are many redeeming features: The food is good when finally served (allow 45 to 60 mins), the inside is dressed up as a baronial hall, and there are excellent selection of beers. Outside there is a simple garden and lawn. Worth... More

I find this a difficult restaurant to rate. We were there on a gorgeous summer evening. The view across the sea to the coastal mountains and northern Gulf Islands is spectacular. The nearby beach is perfect for families. We were there with grandchildren and adult children. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The British Pub atmosphere and ales are... More

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here on our way back from Ucluelet to Victoria, August 4. The venue is a beautiful heritage building (a 1921 Maclure house), down by the water. You order your meal at the bar and then find a seat. We chose the garden patio as it was a lovely day. The grounds are well kept... More

Our first visit to this British type pub led us out the back door to enjoy the view from the lawn vs staying in the dark pub-like interior. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the cruise ship pass by as we were served our fish and chips at a picnic table. The 2 piece meal was almost too much for one person... More

After visiting Parksville for many years we decided to venture down the laneway to Beach Acres and check out the pub. What a find !! Absolutely love it !! It's one of our regular stops when we're in the area. This time we had halibut & chips and ate outside in glorious sunshine overlooking the ocean. You order at the... More

We saw the sign for the Black Goose Inn from the road and were so happy we drove into Beach Acres to check it out. Great authentic Scottish style Pub tucked into quiet property with water-view patio. The menu was fantastic, service and food was great. Don't see Ploughman's platters or Pie menu's often enough! And great selection of beer... More
