When you are purchasing an expensive commodity like sushi, you expect to pay a bit more for quality, but here it was completely off. Quality was 'ok' BUT portion size is VERY small. I paid 25 dollars for a roll, salad and 4 pcs tuna sashimi. The winter roll was great but very small serving. The tuna sashimi was medium-low quality... More

We are sushi "snobs" from L.A. and have had some of our best sushi and sashimi at Sam's. Sam and his staff are warm and welcoming and aim to please. The sushi is always fresh and the presentation is eye-catching. If you are looking for fresh sushi or interesting rolls, Sam's is the place to go.

For the past several years, we've mostly done take-out from Sam's Sushi, but my daughter and I decided to dine in the restaurant for a change. We arrived at the dinner hour, around 6 p.m., behind a family of six. We were greeting promptly and given menus. Since there was only one server, we thought there might be a wait,... More

The title says it all. Freshest ingredients, excellent imagination in his sushi creations, and great, friendly service!

Every single time we have dined at Sam's it has been wonderful. Prompt on time service and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The sashimi is the freshest and the tempura is some of the best on the island. We will keep on coming back for more!

I went there for a quick lunch and had the tempura udon soup. Friendly service and served quite quickly, steaming hot. The broth was excellent and needed no additional spices, although these were provided. The noodles, which were cooked al dente, and the side of tempura prawns and vegetables were more than enough for a good lunch. Many of the... More

Best sushi spot in the area, the tuna tataki is my favourite, very fresh and delicious. Beef terryaki is really good too.

My wife and I eat here every two months or so. I used to visit Japan a lot on business so appreciate good sushi. Sam's is the best I've encountered locally. Sam and his staff provide a charming and welcome environment.

We are not very frequent sushi eaters, so our ability to judge and compare is somewhat limited. That said, the sushi here was as good as I have ever had. We tried the Volcano and Salmon tempura, and salmon mango rolls. All were amazing. Service was very friendly and quick.
