You can have traditional batters or panco or grilled. All good! Fries are fresh and tasty. I hear there are Newfies involved here. So you know its gotta be good!

Great choices in fresh fish and chips. Excellent. Cool older building which comes with great service. Can be busy.

We were Port Alberni for a meeting and discovered this place. We went for their special where one can sample the different choices of fish, salads and French fries. The meal was awesome and very delicious. Thanks to the waitress for helping in making the selections for us. It was a pleasant surprise and beyond our expectations.

Found this place by chance as we were making our way over to the west coast. Your choice of fish, prepared in one of three ways, with a variety of dipping sauces. All served in a converted church. Instead of something battered, I went for the fire-grilled halibut and it was excellent... I didn't end up using the dipping sauces,... More

We have not had better fish and chips since visiting the UK. The fish - both the cod and halibut - were extremely fresh and perfectly cooked! You have a great selection of combinations to choose from in the way the fish cooked, the sides, and sauces. They even have a wasabi based sauce that was fantastic. And to top... More

We have been several times and have always found the food service and prices to be very good. The setting in an old church is unique and the decor is fitting. Sitting out on the street on a nice day is great for people watching

On our way through town, we stopped at this restaurant housed in a converted church building for a bite of lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. You could order your fish three different ways: battered, grilled or with Panko crumbs. You could order salmon, halibut or cod. Coleslaw, Caesar salad or chips or combination of. Everything was delicious the food... More

Awesome fresh tasting fish, crispy fries, crunchy salad and plentiful portions! I would highly recommend stopping in if you are craving fish and Chips! Try the panko cod and grilled salmon or halibut. We had the platter for two and it was perfect! I am a local and had never stopped in because I don't usually like fish and chips... More

My husband and I were in Port Alberni on business this week. We happened upon this Little Gem and are so glad we did. As my husband is the cook at home I eat very very well and therefore I am quite fussy when I go out to eat. Learning from many many experiences I am no longer able to... More

Did I mention we got lots of food on our plates? Terrific fish & chips with two tubs of sauce each, enough fries to feed an army squad, and really good cole slaw. The restaurant is in a refurbished church right downtown with ample parking on the side street. When you walk through the creaking doors - you think -... More
