Have eaten here a few times, but on this occasion I had the grilled halibut and it was delicious. My friend had the same and was equally pleased and we both said we would order it again.

My wife and I saw this place on the way over to Ucluelet from Vancouver and after looking up reviews on here and elsewhere decided we had to stop for lunch on the way back. Well, the reviews are very honest. The fish was great. we had Salmon both beer battered and grilled. It was really great and one of... More

Like it says – just fish… but with some yummy options. You can choose which type of fish you want, then what kind of cooking style -- in traditional English beer batter & deep fried; panko crusted and pan-fried, or grilled; then you select two of about 5 sauces – from trad tartar to spicy thai.. Our party of three... More

We were in Port Alberni for Fathers Day and stopped in here for supper. We noticed their ad in the tourist magazine and hoped it was as good as it looked. It was, the fish was incredible and the prawns unbelievably good. We were 4 adults and 2 young kids and we all enjoyed our meals. The choices for coating... More

This is a bare bones restaurant. If you want a steak, sorry. if you want some excellent fresh fish and home cut fries, this is the place. The old church atmosphere and pleasant servers make for a great experience. You will be happy you went.

I am not a real fish and chips person, mainly because the only ones I have had were skippers and long john silvers, in the states, we let me tell you, my thoughts have changed. this place serves the Real stuff ! everything was fresh and very good. liked the real homemade fries and the fish was not a skimpy... We ate lunch here and had a wonderful experience! We had the halibut and salmon both grilled, and the prawn starter. All were excellent, as were the sides( ceaser salad, chips, and coleslaw). The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was good. The keylime cheesecake was delicious as well. I highly recommend!!!

You can have traditional batters or panco or grilled. All good! Fries are fresh and tasty. I hear there are Newfies involved here. So you know its gotta be good!

We were Port Alberni for a meeting and discovered this place. We went for their special where one can sample the different choices of fish, salads and French fries. The meal was awesome and very delicious. Thanks to the waitress for helping in making the selections for us. It was a pleasant surprise and beyond our expectations.
