Earls, Port Coquitlam

We had a comfortable late lunch at this A/C restaurant while it was 85* F outside today. Earls is a comfy, airy & laid back restaurant with friendly staff. We had the tuna tostadas for a starter and the chicken, brie & fig sanddwich & the fish & chip as the main. The food was very... read more

Living here I drive by all the time and often wish I was drinking wine on their outdoor patio rather than shopping at Safeway, going to the dentist etc. so one day we just went. I have been before but am not a frequent visitor. Went on a sunny summer weekend evening. I remember when you had to wait on... More

We ate on the patio. There was a smoking area about 10 meters from our table where half-inebriated people smoked non-stop. The smoke, of course, spoiled the taste of the food. The soft drinks, and refills, were 80% ice. The food presentation was appealing.

Wife and I went to Earls last week. I ordered a sirloin that was excellent. Great meat and cooked to perfection. The wife ordered the "Tuna and Cheddar Melt" What showed up was (to me) a Grilled Cheese and Tuna sandwich! Two thick slices of bread with the tuna and cheese mixture inside, grilled on both sides. Wife said it... More

This is a popular Friday night dinner stop for us. Great drinks, good food and the staff are very friendly. They accommodate our young daughter's palette and will make her pasta just the way she likes it, and pour her a Shirley Temple while we sip on Caesars!

Earls Poco is my go to spot for a bite to eat after shopping in Coquitlam- From the friendly greeting at the front entrance by the hostess to the consistent service and food is one of the reasons I opt to stop there I always find the servers friendly, and attentive and they know the menu and ingredients- something I appreciate... Friendly greeting - attentive server - service was fast & friendly :) I would not recommend the BBQ Pork Buns - very boring and mushy - Our lunch was good - I had the Reuben Feature, which was great, although missing mustard, and my husband had the Virginia Ham & Cheese Sandwich (and some of my fries as it did... Chili chicken, the amazing, unbeatable ribs for me and hunan kon pau (spelling?) for my other half. The kids enjoy chicken tenders and ribs as well. Fantastic, although expensive (>$120 for five, no alcohol) so we reserve it for special occasions.

We have passed this Earls chain restaurant for years without going in as we did not recall having a delicious meal there when it first opened. Luckily, for us we decided to give it another chance. We visited this restaurant twice in December and had excellent food and service on both occasions, the last being NYE. The restaurant is a... More

Had the 10 oz California cut New York steak. I've had lots of Angus beef, but this didn't really taste like Angus, nor did it eat or cut like a New York, but rather like a chewy sirloin. Asked for medium and got rare, very blood red and two degrees of doneness away from my order, and I didn't sent... More
