GREAT little coffee house!

Comfortable outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. Coffee is serve-yourself from thermal pots but nice selection of tea and coffees. Informal, casual, good service, good coffee; closed too early though. (5:00)

When you first walk into Java Jive you're expecting a really great coffeehouse experience as the vibe and decor couldn't be funkier and more fun. But then you actually have to consume the offerings and you wish you'd never showed up. The coffee is literally undrinkable. It is so badly overroasted and bitter that it makes the liquid ash served... More

This is a great little coffee shop to get some locally roasted Shuswap coffee which is quickly becoming may favourite. The staff is very friendly and they make great lattes!

The service was so good - we thought we'd been mistaken for a long-lost family friend! Excellent chai tea lattes, cappuccinos, and iced coffees! Nice outdoor patio; considering its proximity to a major road, it was very pleasant.

Visited this place looking for good coffee and muffin. Coffee was good but muffins have a very strange texture... Perhaps they are gluten free? We could not finish them and felt a heavy lump in our stomachs for several hours...also, found the place to be rather dirty, especially the washrooms.

Stopped in here three mornings in a row to get expressos for our daughter/son in law. Service was fast and friendly and the variety of drinks was good. My Cappuccino was as good as any I have had anywhere. Good muffins too (made on site) We'll be back.

Every time I have been to the Java Jive, I am always greeted with a friendly smile. I especially enjoy stopping here for my decaf, because the use coffee from a local company that roast the coffee beans right in Salmon Arm. At least I think they still do it in Salmon Arm. Those are newer owners of Shuswap Coffee... More

Loved the atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastic coffee. My favorite their Latte's but do some good speciality coffees. Home made soups and sandwiches and nice side baking.

Java Jive is a well-established coffee shop across the highway from downtown Salmon Arm. The ambience is what sets this place apart from others: warm and cosy with couches and comfy chairs along with tables and window bar seating. The food is delicious and freshly made including paninis, soup, sandwiches, salads, muffins & squares, espresso bar and hot chocolate. They... More
