Enormous fresh sandwiches

Two days in a row found us needing to get picnic lunches and Bert's was just right. They offer a range of sandwiches made to order and have a variety of soft drinks. The sandwiches are generously filled with meats and other options, enough for two of our party to share one on the second day! A... read more

There was eight of us and we started ordering the sandwiches. By the second one they were out of turkey, by the third out of chicken. They didn't have any beef at all. By the time I ordered the ham was gone. They we out of everything. Then they must have forgot to order the lettuce and tomatoes because they... More

20 years after my family moved from Terrace we returned. A must stop for us was Bert's. Memories of the world's greatest sandwiches (and we have travelled much of the world since) brought us back. Well, we are happy to report that the tradition continues!!! The son of the original proprietors now owns the business, and he is maintaining the... More

No scrimping on the amount of fresh deli meat on these sandwiches. Staff are very accommodating ..."load up on the veggies please and a little less meat" ... "no problem." Nice selection of specialty foods and drinks. Very helpful when seeking information on the cheeses ... balsamic bellavitano is my new favourite - thank you Richard!

Unbeatable sandwiches. We have been to Bert's for lamb sausages, meats for pizza toppings and quality cheese. The selection is very thoughtfully put together and the experience is great. Very friendly, good conversation and helpful and experienced in finding the right flavour/texture.

Haven't actually been to Bert's in a long time but they used to make the most amazing corn beef on rye sandwiches ever.

Well - a real old-world treasure. At first when told a ham sandwich was $6.95 I was a bit hesitant... ordered it anyways and wow. A couple of inches of sliced black forest ham, butter cheese, lettuce, tomato on nice and fresh rye bread. Finally... wrapped in wax paper! Next day I returned for the chicken and was just as...
