Awesome dining experience!

Awesome food! It's tucked away so watch for the sign or you might miss it! Great care is taken in the preparation as well as the presentation. The Halibut is my favourite. Awesome burgers. Don't miss out on the appetizers. They are unique and are presented beautifully! You will be impressed... read more

This restaurant was recommended and it did not disappoint! Wonderful atmosphere, fabulous owners and amazingly fresh and innovative food! There is limited seating, so reservations are recommended. I hope to get the chance to return during lobster season!!!

I am a celiac. When I saw the chef make curry from fresh ingredients in my view and not leave anything out I knew I was in a good place. He hand delivered it and even brough me more sauce. Fragrant, just the right heat, no shortcuts, rice just right and there was enough on the plate to take the... More

I had both the lobster ravioli and the fish and chips. The portions are large, but the fish was delicious. I found the ravioli, OK, not all that flavourful and a bit overrated. The wait staff is friendly with the "darlins and dears", almost to the over the top stage. If your seated up against a wall, the baseboard heaters... More

Love the food. Great service. Would highly recommend. We tend to eat the battered fish with mashed potatoes but the menu has lots of meals to choose from. A wide arrange of appetizers and of course deserts. A must place to go while in north Sydney

While traveling in Cape Breton we managed to have lobster in some way shape or form everyday. The Lobster Pound is an informal restaurant offering a limited menu which proves that more is not better. Doing a few meals great beats serving a lot of mediocre food. Great lobster dinner!

We have been to the Lobster pound a few times now. Every time we go the service is good and food is REALLY good. The prices are reasonable as well as the portions. It's a nice change to other restaurants in the area which serve all the same kinds of food.

Heather at Harbourside B & B recommended the Lobster Pound. She told us to call early for reservations and it was a good thing we did, as they were not admitting any more patrons when we got there. We did not have lobster, but one had steak and the other had swordfish. Everything was superb, and the best part was... More

Their specialty is lobster, but they serve much more. The crab cakes are to die for. Had the baked potato cheddar soup, and it was so wonderful. Have eaten here several times, with many friends, and no one leaves disappointed. Staff is very attentive, and the chef, the Moore referred to in the name, goes to great lengths to accommodate...
