Wonderful experience at the Lobster Pound, the food was amazing! Best lobster I've ever eaten, hubby enjoyed his Korean steak. The Chef comes over to chat with ask the patrons several times during your visit and all the servers are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant but make a reservation because it's a small place and very popular.

No fewer than four local residents asked us what we ate after finding out that we'd eaten dinner at the Lobster Pound. Seafood chowder, lobster club, fennel salad - all spectacular. Great, unpretentious staff and clean, colorful atmosphere. Clearly the people who work here love food - it shows. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I love this restaurant. The food is spectacular (by any standard) and the service is so friendly. We were treated exceptionally well by the owner when we went in on a slower weekday afternoon - the people who work here clearly have a passion for great food and know how to create a superb dining experience.

One of best places to eat on the Island. Not a fancy location but wonderful fresh seafood with a flair The daily specials are always good but it is hard to pass up on the lobster clubhouse for Maritime comfort food worth a detour if you are in the Sydney area

Went here for dinner and reserved in the afternoon, which was great because they were fully booked. We arrived earlier than our reservation time since we had walked over from our B&B and the chef brought over some frites for us to eat while we waited for our table. Had lobster ravioli, crab cakes, lobster spring rolls and great salad.... More

We happened upon the restaurant looking for lunch. The seafood chowder was amazing, rich and delicious. The platter that Chef Richard put together for us was personalized and enhanced to treat us to a wonderful variety of seafood. The service was impeccable and the chef/owners ensured our enjoyment. We were so impressed we made reservations for two days later when... More

We were waiting for a ferry in North Sydney Nova Scotia and asked for a restaurant t recommendation. They recommended the Lobster Pound but said it was unlikely that we would get in. We were very lucky and had the best meal of our entire trip to that point. We started with lobster wontons that were creamy and crisp and... More

I have been all over the world and ate food in big cities and little villages. From Italy to USA and I have to say the chicken spring rolls is the best food I have ever put in my mouth. On top of that the staff is amazing, the waitresses are always kind and smiling and the chef always comes... More

My girlfriend and I ate at this restaurant at the recommendation of our host at heritage BnB (btw highly recommend). We were seated right at the front of the open kitchen. Richard the master chef welcomed us with full attention to our whole evening meal. We ordered the lobster meal (4 pound) and it was honestly probably one of the... More
