Can't say enough good things about the Lobster Pound and Moore. We started off with the lobster wontons (excellent). All three meals ordered by us were fantastic (fish and chips, lobster ravioli, and fisherman's pie). For dessert, the creme brulee was incredibly good. Service was excellent and friendly. This place is booked every night, so be sure to make a... More

Do not miss this gem if you happen to be near North Sydney! My husband and I happened to stumble across this wonderful place after taking the exit. The cost is higher than the average college student budget, but being from Kansas we were craving a lobster and had to give it a try. You definitely get what you pay... More

I had the lobster/crab salad, and it was almost more than I could eat - two large lobster claws and eight crab legs. I couldn't really tell you who my server was, because all three ladies checked with me regularly (not too often, just right). I felt just as welcomed as if I was a regular.

My wife & I can only concur with how others have described this restaurant ... that is, truly fine (and fun) dining on the inside in spite of first impressions from the gravel parking lot. For ensuring no one goes away disappointed, I did want to make everyone aware the restaurant does not serve many, so make a reservation ...... More

It's been more than a year since I've been here, but I still think about the Lobster Pound whenever I have lobster at some other restaurant where my travels take me. I don't know why I didn't write a review earlier, but better late than never. The chef served us a huge platter of lobster, snow crabs, rice, awesome thin... More

Perhaps it is because we had been up for two days and not eaten much, but I don't think so. We found this place on Trip Advisor, scoped it out on Urban Spoon and then was told by our B&B Hostess that it was her favourite, favourite place to eat. We called and were able to make a reservation for... More

In Sydney for a couple of days and told friends I wanted to try a local restaurant. My friend did not hesitate to bring me to this restaurant. She raved about the food and the dessert. Sure enough the fresh homemade bread and delicious lobster club was to die for. Her husband ordered the fish and chips and we could... More

When in Cape Breton, this is a must do! We've eaten here on numerous occasions and have never had anything that wasn't cooked to perfection. The desserts are to die for. The lobster club is amazing. The portions are gigantic, so come hungry. Richie and his staff are so professional and polite. The best place to eat in North Sydney... More
