Ate there for lunch, wish we could have come back for dinner. Everything was delicious (lobster wontons, lobster club sandwich). Waitress extremely friendly. Don't let the front of the building deceive you, you might think it's not even open - go down the right side, park at the back.

My husband had lobster, and being from California he certainly didn't know where to begin, Richard (the owner)was at his side to help him through it. The lobster was amazing, perfect. I had the lobster ravioli it was like a party in my mouth, loved it. Service, atmosphere and food were all perfect. Will definitely be back, thanks for making... More

I love the Lobster Pound and have never been disappointed with a meal or service there. I have been at least 1/2 dozen times and will keep going back! The chef is very accommodating and whipped up a great soup for me to accompany my steak and homemade fries, after I asked about the soup selections! Super friendly and welcoming... More

Chef Rich and staff nail it..,every time. I eat here every chance I can. Great room, menu & vibe. Can't say enough good things about it. Highly recommend it. Don't be mislead by "lobster pound" although the lobster spring rolls are my fav. They have a great well thought out menu with a selection of choices for all tastes. There... More

This was such a good place to sample Cape Breton food at it's finest. The meal was so incredible, we made reservations (a must so you don't miss out) for the next night. The lobster wontons were incredible and combined them first night with crab cakes, second night with lobster spring rolls...although listed as appetizers they are a meal...come with... More

We've never had a bum meal here. While visiting family, if we can get in, this is a highlight. The only downer with an open kitchen is the heat. So, on a hot, summer day, it will be hot in there. That would be the only hope for next time - ventilation. Also, we felt a bit rushed. But that... More

We were unable to phone from Port au Basque (Rogers cell does not exist) for a reservation but managed to contact Richard Moore by email and he was kind enough to fit us in. It was well worth the effort as Lobster Pound and Moore is an exceptional restaurant with incredibly good pricing and value. We ony had time for... More

We were fortunate enough to snag a table at this exceptional restaurant in North Sydney during our short stay in the area. The chef/owner, along with his staff, treated us to a wonderful dining experience. I was a bit daunted with tackling a whole lobster for the first time but the staff helped me to navigate my way around a... More

Ate lunch here as we passed through Sydney. Great place. Really high quality food and great presentation. I has the burger (best burger since I've left the Midwest) and we shared the seafood chowder which was so rich and delicious. Definitely make a point to stop here if you're in the area!
