We've never had a bum meal here. While visiting family, if we can get in, this is a highlight. The only downer with an open kitchen is the heat. So, on a hot, summer day, it will be hot in there. That would be the only hope for next time - ventilation. Also, we felt a bit rushed. But that... More

We were unable to phone from Port au Basque (Rogers cell does not exist) for a reservation but managed to contact Richard Moore by email and he was kind enough to fit us in. It was well worth the effort as Lobster Pound and Moore is an exceptional restaurant with incredibly good pricing and value. We ony had time for... More

We were fortunate enough to snag a table at this exceptional restaurant in North Sydney during our short stay in the area. The chef/owner, along with his staff, treated us to a wonderful dining experience. I was a bit daunted with tackling a whole lobster for the first time but the staff helped me to navigate my way around a... More

Ate lunch here as we passed through Sydney. Great place. Really high quality food and great presentation. I has the burger (best burger since I've left the Midwest) and we shared the seafood chowder which was so rich and delicious. Definitely make a point to stop here if you're in the area!

Wow! Just, wow!! The sandwich was to die for, and the staff was kind enough to open up a bit early for me, just to accommodate my travel schedule. How great is that??!! Anyway, don't miss this place...it's definitely a diamond among coal! lol.

This place is fantastic. Our server was so friendly and really good with our kids. Made great suggestions! 3 of us had the lobster ravioli - TO DIE FOR! My son had the lobster club, which was as big as him and he managed to eat almost all of it. Both of these meals were delicious and definitely a must... More

Came for lunch with the family and had a great lunch. The place was nicely decorated, the staff was very friendly and prompt and the food came out quickly. Had both lunch specials of fish sandwich and lobster bisque and the 1lb lobster and fries - possibly our best meal on our trip. The two piece fish and chips had... More

Getting a reservation was tough but once my sister in law told them that she had guests in town for just one week, they got us a spot! PHEW! We were warned they weren't kid friendly but boy are they wrong! Sure there's no kids menu or high chairs but they were so friendly and even made a cute plate... More
