The Engine Room has a great atmosphere to sit and enjoy the best food in Truro.the lasagna is better than you would make at home.To top your visit off the price is so cheap and the menu has something for everyone. This is a hidden little gem in our wonderful Nova Scotia.

The place has a great location with lots of parking and it offers plenty of seating. The room is large but still comfortable. The staff is generally friendly but was not present enough to deal with issues in a timely manner. The food is average for pub food but it has a good atmosphere and mood to the place. It's... More

I love the food at this restaurant. I love their burgers, potatoe skins are delish, Nachos are loaded..I have never had anything to eat here that I have not liked. Been eating here for 24 years and it is still the best to me.

Shared a meal with family on a Wednesday evening. I had the liver and onions, with bacon, mashed potatoes and veggies. It was cooked to perfection and served hot. Almost too much as there were 2 good size pieces of liver. Two in the party enjoyed the chicken Alfredo and the other diner had fish and chips which was well... More

We ate here on Mothers day. Two of us had the strip loan steak and shrimp special. My steak was prepared as asked, medium well done. The baked potato was hot and sour cream came on the side. The vegetables were okay however not hot. One of the others at our table had a generous serving of lasagne which came... More

Traveling through the area so we stopped to eat. It is the usually types of food you find at a bar. We had a selection of burgers, clubhouse, fries, other sandwiches. It wasn't the best food but it was good. The service was average and the inside looked like a dark bar. They do have lots of room and lots... More

The Engine Room is a great spot for an evening out with friends. Enjoy a couple of drinks and some music. Usually good music to dance to and they used to have karoake on some nights and there are some fairly talented people around here. It certainly has it's share of rough characters hanging out there, but nothing that can't... More

I used to live in Truro for a few years and use to go to this place quite frequently and now in sometimes on my through when traveling from Halifax to Pictou. And I will say the last few times I have been in the food, portion sizes everything has gone way downhill. Even the service is not that great.... More

I'm sure when this restaurant opened it saw a lot of business. It probably has a loyal local following. It is gigantic and old and has that feeling that sticky beer spill feeling on the floors and tables. The wait staff were an army of aggressive women who rarely smiled and I felt a little intimidated ordering. I ordered the... More
