Amazing! My husband said it was the best fish and chips he's ever had. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The prices are very reasonable. A must go.

My friends took me out to this little strip mall in downtown Truro for my last evening of NS food - I was fully prepared to be dissapointed but it turned out great. Good food - reasonable prices and super friendly staff. I had the digby island scallops and they were great. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

This restaurant is easy to find as it is located on the main highway. There was sufficient free paved parking the evening we arrived; however, I suspect there is a shortage during the demanding times as parking is shared with businesses in the strip mall. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, clean and has a number of levels and separations to... More

We ordered the seafood platter with and extra piece of fish. While this was enough for tow people, the quality was not there. The vegetables were mush and the prawns (shrimp) were as well. Everything is deep fried which was a crime against scallops. The deep fried fish was good but the batter was thick and greasy. Definitely not as... More

A favourite spot for all Maritimers. Named as the best in Nova Scotia. Had friends from New Zealand and they absolutely loved them!

Stopped in for supper as it was recommended by friends. Service was very good and our meal was excellent, my wife had the Fish & Chip and I had the Clam & Fish platter. Not too greasy and the fries were nice and crispy. Reasonably priced. I can see why they've received a certificate of excellence, we would definitely recommend... More

We stopped at Murphy's on the way to PEI for a wedding on Friday afternoon, and returned for a second visit on Sunday on the way back to Halifax. The two piece fish and chips with an iced tea were all that I could manage. Great service. Good value for the food. Well prepared haddock cooked to perfection - not... More

Wow, it's obvious that the gang at Murphy's takes great pride in the quality of their battered fish. The "secret" recipe was kept a secret by our very friendly but loyal server. The fish was deliciously and perfectly cooked and our whole party noticed the LACK of grease which is often the nemesis of fish and chip meals. It is... More

Despite its location in a dreary strip mall, this was the a great stop. The service was friendly and prompt. The fish was fresh and crisp, with a delicious light coating of batter. The portions were large (too much for us to finish). The bill was a shocker - way less expensive than we expected given the high quality of... More
