Fantastic Value

The prime rib on Thursday was very good. Even better was the pasta dish Cathy had. The bread was tasty as were our appetizers. The wine list is short, with fine quality. The crown on our meal was the Lemon Mirange Pie desert in a crust shaped as a bowl. Service was quick, and the quiet atmosphere... read more

Our second visit to Bistro 22, and worth finding in the older downtown area of Truro. The cozy, clean, bright room is filled with locals, and a fine place for lunch or dinner while in Nova Scotia or driving to or from Cape Breton or Halifax. Salads are fresh and generously sized; smoked salmon and fish and meat dishes are... More

This is a quaint little restaurant that offers good food and a very nice atmosphere. Although the sitting is close for a private business meeting or discussion , it is excellent for a fun lunch. The Chowder here was perfect and the sandwiches are usually very fresh and delightful. My only wish would be that they open for longer dinner hours.

After a fabulous day at the spa, I chose to have lunch here. I had a lovely lunch for a reasonable price. I will definitely return. The bistro is small and intimate. The service exemplary and food is delightful.

My wife and I with our two grandsons spent 10 days driving thru Nova Scotia. The travel book indicated Bistro 22 was one of the best places to eat in Truro. We were very pleased with the lobster panni, Halibut chowder, and all our meals. In fact we liked it so much we returned on our way back to Halifax... More

I have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times and always enjoy my meal. My favorite so far is the smoked salmon pain which comes with a salad. The place is small and depending on where you sit, you are quite close to the people next to you. The staff are friendly and service is good.

The food here is always fresh and delicious, served with great conversation. Save room for dessert - their hand-made specials are divine.

Homemade soups, best desserts ever, beautiful atmosphere! I love Bistro 22 as a place to meet a friend for lunch. They have great panini sandwiches and really yummy coconut cream pie.

We were driving from the PEI Ferry to Halifax and decided to stop for lunch in Truro. Rather than eat fast food by the highway we ventured into town. We stumbled across Bistro 22 and were glad we did. The sandwiches and salads were very good and priced right. There was a salted caramel cheesecake on the menu that looked... More

Excellent food prep, presentation with local wines(Nova Scotia) served with a smile. The friendly staff, restriced but innovative and fresh menu make this the spot for a Ral fine meal in what is a lack lustre dining community. The managemnet is to be commeded for innnovation and freshness. Definite repeat for us.
