This is a great little restaurant. One chef, who makes everything from scratch and uses local food. They're only open at lunch time and for supper they're only open for part of the week, so you have to keep that in mind when planning to go. The food is always amazing, the restaurant is always clean, and the staff is... More

This place is great. Quiet and romantic, had a table for 4 booked, service was efficient and the food excellent. I think the owner is also the cook and they use local ingredients. The menu is small but varied, would recommend to anyone going through Truro

As a traveler this is one of those places you wish was near where you lived. Interesting menu, wonderful food carefully prepared in an atmosphere that was a welcome change from the tourist traps. The friendly staff made it all the more enjoyable. Put it on your list.

I arrived about 6 for supper. There were 2 tables occupied by 2 diners each. I gave my order and then waited. After about1/2 hour, the waitress stopped at my table and said that my meal would be right along; she had just put my order through. When my order finally arrived, after close to another 1/2 hour wait, I... More

We went here on a quick trip to Truro. Picked it based on the trip advisor reviews. Called and made a reservation, which was probably good as it was full when we got there. There was a single server who handled the whole restaurant, she did a great job at it. We split a spinach salad for our starter, it... More

We took some good friend to Bistro 22 because the food is always top quality. Weenjoyed our meals - the beef bourguignon, which I had, was delicious. I found the kernel corn with which it was served to be an odd accompanying vegetable. I was however quite disappointed with the serving size. My wife had the Salmon Risotto. Again the... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience at this lovely little restaurant in downtown Truro. We started with the mushroom soup which is as good as we've eaten anywhere. We both had the grilled halibut which was cooked to perfection, not dry nor undercooked. It was served on a bed of blended mashed potatoes and fresh beans. (see... More

Had a wonderful meal at Bistro 22. The Beef Bourguignon and Stuffed Pork Chops were perfectly prepared and seasoned. Could not have asked for a better meal. Don't miss it when you visit Truro.

Prime Rib Roast was the call at this restaurant. Disappointing to say the least. Served almost cold with not a drop of juice or gravy. Potatoes that were prepared the day before and were no more than a pile of hard mush. The wine had a corky taste as well. The cheese cake was the only redeeming item that I... More

We visited at a Private function - service was quick and efficient, food hot and tasty. The young staff were very attentive and there was a great atmosphere.
