Nothing fancy but good comfort food

The place reminds me of an old diner. The decor is plain and simple and there isn't a lot of private space to talk - open with people sitting close by. It's often packed at lunch time. Even though a busy spot, the food is usually very quick. The hot lobster was good, fries nice and hot. My guest... read more

great food, good service try the desert! Fish cakes, we loved it. If you want tasty home cooked meals this place is a must. The choices are many to include home made deserts.

Food is OK. As soon as I stepped in the door, I noticed an odour that they appear to be trying to cover up. It makes me ill. I won't be back. A dreary place.

Had breakfast there on Sunday. Got there about 11:00 and were the first to arrive it appeared as they just turned on the lights when we went in. Eggs, bacon, home fries, toast & coffee for around 8.50. Coffee just ok, the remainder was good.

It was a Wednesday evening when my spouse and I decided to go to the restaurant and order take-out. We were surprised to see a full parking lot and really amused when we entered the place. The first thing you'll encounter will be a mish-mash of items for sale. Uh....VCR Tape anyone? I hear they make great Christmas gifts....in 1980.... More

My boyfriend and I went for lunch at Jo-Anne's. When we arrived we noticed immediately the horrible smell. The waitress was very friendly and efficient even though it was just her working the dining room and cash register and it was a busy lunch run. I ordered the clams and fries and my boyfriend ordered the clams and scallops with... More

I recommend Jo-Anne's the staff are very congenial, the restaurant is very clean. and the food is great. I enjoyed the rappie pie, a local Acadien favorite. But also the cheeseburger was enjoyed. The deserts are to die for Blueberry pie was fantastic and the lemon merangue was equally delicious. Well worth a visit.

We tried the hot lobster sandwich and were amazed at how tasty it was. We were a little taken aback when we first saw the sandwich with the sauce poured over the bread. However, the taste was famtastic!

After a month on the road I got sick of fried fish dinners in every restaurant. Jo-Annes Quick and tasty had a fairly large menu with the usual fried fish, but I ordered the turkey sandwich which was made with real roasted turkey and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thank you for some decent food that is healthy.... More

This is definitely quick and tasty food! The service was quick and courteous, and the food we tried on our two trips there was delicious - so great to have all those delicious seafood options! We understand that this is something of an area landmark, and a few of our family members have worked there over the years. Worth the... More
