I count the days and hours for my weekly visit to this gem of a restaurant on Sunday mornings for the most stellar brunch on the planet ~ yum yum! Their back bacon, home fried potatoes, pancakes, omelettes and French-pressed coffee are enough to make one sing! I love this place. Amen. P.S. Reservations are highly recommended, as the place... We had perfectly balanced service, very attentive and accommodating without being intrusive. Excellent wine recommendation to pair with our meal, a French chablis. Escargot prepared just right. The catch of the day was perfectly cooked delicate and flavorful. Deliicious homemade dessert made that day or the day before. Aromatic coffee. What else could one ask for.

We had dinner at R&L on Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is pleasant, and the service was very good, well paced, and as it wasn't overly busy, personalized. The soup (butternut squash) was excellent, as was the main (steak). Dessert was also wonderfully decadent. The "chocolate bar" was amazing. The menu is relatively short, which we... More

Dropped in for lunch. Was not offered a breakfast menu but I heard them offered to others. I had a reuben with green salad - very good. My wife had quiche - just average. The service was friendly and attentive.

One of the best Eggs Benny around served with real home fries and Tula, our server, was fantastic!! Our coffee cups were never empty and she checked more than once to ensure that we were completely satisfied... Great service and great food. A must try if you are in Bracebridge.

This is a surprising good restaurant in a relatively small town but of course the Muskoka is populated by Toronto transplants and holidays. The menu is not extensive but varied featuring local and organic fare. Some portions are generous while others were on the skimpy side - particularly the pickerel. All dishes were very tasteful and well presented. Prices are... More

Today we were travelling from our cabin near Parry Sound, Ontario and decided to stop in Bracebridge, Ontario for breakfast. We chose the R & L Bistro since they advertised they serve breakfast. To our amazement at 10:15 am. there were only two tables left in the restaurant. The rest were taken or reserved - at 10:15 on a Sunday... More

Well we had another great meal as my wife and I came here to celebrate my birthday. To my shock and awe Adam our server sang happy birthday to me Marilyn Monroe style. But I digress. I had the jumbo scallops as a starter and they melted in my mouth then a full rack of lamb for the main finished... More
