Over-priced and over-hyped

Had I seen the 'World-Famous' sign before I went in I wouldn't have bothered. In my experience, if you have to put the words 'World Famous' in your name then you generally aren't ! My husband and I were looking for a lunchtime snack and opted for the turkey sandwich and the pepperoni pizza - we... read more

We had waiting for two hours for a lunch that never came at the Inn by the Falls. So - this place was wonderful! The staff, sandwiches, coffee and butter tarts were great! I would recommend this place. The tables out back are nice. It isn't glamorous.. but it is very nice.

Worst butter tarts ever. Way over priced. Too much dough and way too little filling. World Class fame- throw it out the window. Don't even think of going there. Throw your money in the river, or better yet donate to the BB hospital.

The best butter tarts in the world? Possibly! Marty's is a cool place on the main street of Bracebridge, not far from the Bracebridge Falls, and THE place to pick up coffee and sweet snacks in this little town in Muskoka.

My friends and I tried them and they were very pricey, and too runny. Obviously it's a personal choice but we prefer buttertarts with more body, and not luquidy. And, less expensive.

Although the butter tarts are great, they and all the other food at Marty's is overpriced and overrate. Marty's is closed in the "off season" but when opened May 24th Victoria Day Weekend to after Labour Day, it draws the tourists. As an absentee owner for the majority of the year, there is little if any interface with the community.... More

Paid over $6 for a butter tart with tax. So one would think these are out of the world or something special. Not so at all. They are good, not great or anything more. Bracebridge and area has many better less conceited establishments. Nothing special just average food that is over hyped. But then again we are in cottage country... More

I was not impressed by the customer service of this Café. The chef was literally rude. I left angry and promised to never go back

Yes, everything in this cafe is overpriced but if you like ooey gooey, dripping, sweet and huge buttertarts...then you can't help but pay $5 for a memorable treat. Always a busy spot all summer long.

Marty's tarts are overpriced for the value you receive as are most of the items on his menu. Myh opinion is he is" a legend in his own mind " only. There are so many more memorable places to visit and things to do in Bracebridge that are so much more worthwhile.
