Cafe Chartreuse is one of those little places which always look closed, but once you check, you never look back. Perhaps it's the dark windows which blank out the interior, or the fact that it is situated on a corner, but do venture inside if you like real good, authentic chocolate croissants. And there is more. The soups are home... More

We always come here for lunch when we are in Collongwood. Their food is healthy and delicious. Patrick, the chef and owner, is very creative. I like their soups and salad. My husband likes their sandwiches. Sunday brunch is great too.

Beautiful day for a good meal... Cafe chartreuse is losing it! Rude and obnoxious. I wanted a baguette and they gave a hard stick... When I asked for another one, I was told that this is the way the bread is cooked here! Then when touching another baguette that was softer, I proved my point that the initial one they... More

My husband and I were visiting Collingwood for the weekend. We weren't sure where to have breakfast, so we headed to main street and walked past this corner place restaurant. We thought the decor and the patio was really nice and cosy. It's not quite the typical restaurant, as you order at the counter, and the wait staff will bring... More

My husband and I both ordered raspberry pancakes and coffee. Coffee was good, the pancakes were tasty but a couple of them were undercooked and the batter was wet in the middle. The maple butter they came with was delicious. The service was not friendly. Would not come back.

We have been twice now with a 3 year span in between. The food was good nothing special though. Very ordinary really. But the girls working the counter were very unfriendly in fact one was rude. Not helpful at all, not polite either. You didn't feel welcome there at all. Over priced for what you get too. We won't be... More

My daughter, my sitter, my niece and myself decided to have a all girls day at the scandinave Spa in Blue Mountain. Since we were leaving Toronto very early at 6:30am my daughter searched and found Cafe Chartreuse which was on our way to the spa. The place was pretty quiet when we arrived and the food looked great. They... More

This is a typical spot we go to when the kids crave "pain au chocolat". I always order the egg white omelette. Big size and great taste and real baguette to go with it.

But for all the wrong reasons. The staff is badly trained and rather than managing the owner spends his time in the kitchen oblivious to what's going (or not going) on. Would suggest giving the place, at least for breakfast, a pass. Too bad because the Heritgage Building the restaurant occupies is superb.

We went for lunch. They have only 3 sandwiches on their menu, none of which is served hot. I got the salmon sandwich, which was very small and cost $6.10 + tax. That's ridiculous for a small cold sandwich in a tiny country town. My wife wanted a slice of apple pie, which they served cold despite her requesting it... More
