My husband and I went to the Post last Friday evening for my favourite fish & chips. I am gluten intolerant so when I found out they served the dish I have been a fan for a while. This trip, there was NO serving staff and after we sat for over 10 mins, my husband went to the bar to... More

My husband and I have given this restaurant a try on 3 separate occasions. Once with a group of 7 the other 2 times just us two. We were not happy with the service at all. First time we were told they were short staffed and would be with us shortly, however the restaurant was not busy and it took... More

We came here after a day at the beach, so the more formal Collingwood restaurants were out of the question. I wasn't expecting much, because many pubs serve frozen food. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We had the chicken curry, beef stew, and two fish dinners. Everything was very tasty. The wine and beer are reasonably priced. We also shared... More

My parents and I stopped in to have lunch this past weekend. It is a cute, historic pub. Beer options are great, and the menu has variety. I enjoyed the chicken quesadillas, but my father was less than impressed with the bangers and mash - there was very little mashed potatoes to go with the sausages.

We sat outside on the patio and had a pleasant lunch. Food was good and the server was fairly attentive. Atmosphere is pleasant and casual. We would go back again.

One night the special was Guinness stew with beef and root veggies, it was served inside a GIANT yorkshire pudding, it was perfect winter comfort food, my husbands meal (i think it was lamb) just as impressive. nice atmosphere pub style, definitely one of the best pubs in a 50 mmile radius

I have never before been inclined to give anyone a negative review for bad service. Having been in the service sector myself for years, I understand how sometimes events can result in a less than desirable experience for the customer. However, this afternoon my wife and I finally left the Admiral's Post without having gotten any service. And the thing... More

After a day boarding at Blue, we decided nothing would do except some pub food. We simply searched online and chose this place, and when we saw the charming building we went in. The first moment we entered we were assaulted by what has to be the worst cover bank in all of Canada. Seriously. Loud, wailing, off-key, early 90's... More

Bad food. The new owners have run the pub into the ground! Used to be a great place. Obviously they don't know how to run a decent pub/restaurant. Don't waste your time or money.

My first visit to this much talked about local hangout was ok. It is small, crowded and way to smoky for me. It is an older pub, frequented by daily regulars. The patio area is nice, although, It overlooks the street and parking lot, filled with smokers. As you can probably tell, the amount of smoking will keep me away.
