The service was excellent and the sashimi was beautifully presented and fresh tasting. Will come here again. Reasonably priced too.

The Hungry Sumo consistently serves up delicious and well presented Japanese and Korean cusine. We have been back several times now, and find the staff to be warm and welcoming, and food to be authentic and delightful. A broad selection if menu items from Spicy Bulgogi to artful Sushi, you won't be disappointed.

The Hungry Sumo never disappoints. Perhaps it's because we're local but we tend to go the 'take-out' route more often than 'dine-in'. However the staff is always very helpful, courteous and friendly whether we are picking up or sitting down for a meal. The sushi is so good we have yet to find another sushi restaurant in our travels throughout... More

The handrolls are amazing in fact everything is wonderful. Lovely old house, and very attentive servers. I would definitely recommend it for any sushi lovers going to Collingwood. It is small but can handle a few large tables.

We found out about this restaurant online last year. We have always enjoyed their take-out but recently decided to dine out. The experience was wonderful. The food was served on a wooden boat which made it fun. The food was terrific. The sake was average. The server suggested a seaweed salad and it was awesome. He was very friendly. We... More

Server Any was knowledgable about gluten issues, pleasant and attentive. The young man equally so. Fish was fresh and nicely portioned. Satisfying snack. Decor lacking but I didn't come here to look at art or to eat on a marble table. Recommended!!

We were to Collingwood with the whole family (with parents on both sides & 3 little kids). So we did a bit of research before going up and found this place. Saw mixed reviews, but good overall... so we gave it a try. Very impressed. Great service, we were offered a room on the 2nd floor so we didn't need... More

My husband and I were disappointed in this restaurant the food was okay but nothing special, not for the prices they are charging. The restaurant look very plain with some Japanese art on the walls, other than that looks like they just moved in in a hurry. No ventilation in the restaurant, very stuffy and hot. Will not go back

The entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. The service well there was none unless I asked for some. The food average and prices let's just say they are the same as many five star Japanese eating establishments. I will not return
