Cabin Bistro is a great find on the Collingwood dining scene. Ideal for those searching for real food made from fine ingredients, thoughtfully prepared, and a welcome change from the noise and chaos of the usual chain restaurants catering to large ski groups containing multitudes of noisy children and their even noisier parents. This place is a jewel of serenity... More

Grey day perfect for a main street stroll. Two for late lunch, checking out Cabin after the main street move from side-street Simcoe. Started with pumpkin soup and lobster bisque, shared duck tacos with a local Sidelaunch Dark Lager. Soup and bisque were perfect to warm the chill. The duck tacos are so good, highly recommended. we'll be back for... More

Collingwood isn't a great place to eat for the most part. The Village restaurants are largely either mediocre food with a large price tag, or good food with an even larger price tag. After a day of skiing at Ontario's best non-private resort, we were in search of a reasonable meal. The run out Hwy 26 was filled with chains,... More

We were having a celebratory dinner for an anniversary and the Cabin was a perfect choice! We were welcomed by Dean, and received authentic connection as we made our food and wine selections. The Caeser salad (with a poached quail egg) was deliscious, and that was just the start! Make sure to make a reservation, and enjoy!

Incredible food and unbelievably friendly. As the adults enjoyed conversation, the children received a cooking lesson. I can't day enough about the food! Everything was awesome!

We were visiting the Collingwood area and went for dinner at the Cabin, we enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch. The Restaurant is very small and has a real Bistro feel to it, be sure to make a reservation, we were there on a Tuesday nite and it was full. The Duck confit with Spaetzle I had... More

Lovely, cozy and wonderful. Not your traditional offerings. Such a wonderful meal. We have lived in France and Toronto - this place meets those standards.

You call this cabin food? The cups of velvety lobster bisque set the stage for 3 exquisite pulled duck tacos and a sublime club sandwich that bookended a melange of pulled duck, smoked bacon, fried egg and cranberry mayo with buttery toasted brioche. Cudos to the inventive chef and thanks to the hospitable server. We'll be back.
