Gem of a restaurant

4 of us visited Collingwood restaurants to select one for a luncheon in early June. Our guests would be visiting the area from the US and other parts of Canada. Chef Justin and the Cabin Bistro was our first choice. I arranged a lunch for 10 with Chef Justin. The menu was adapted for a large group... read more

Today myself ,son, daughter in law and a visitor I have from England visited this restaurant and walked out leaving the food uneaten.... one bite was enough. I have never heard of a burger without a meat patty but they served a Portobello burger with lettuce goat cheese and mushrooms only at a cost of $17 per meatless burger. The... More

i ordered the chicken melt sandwich and yes the taste was very good but i dont think the chef understood the textures of the food he was serving. both the chicken and the mushrooms were very hard to bite through and for a sandwich that is key. i ended up pulling half of it out of the bread to get... Family of 4 from Ohio completely enjoyed dinner at this small quaint bistro. There were only 3 people working (2 chef and waitress) and only one other table was occupied on a Saturday evening. All 4 entrees were outstanding as was the service. My only complaint is the tiny wine list. Would highly recommend Cabin Bistro.

My spouse and I were driving through Collingwood and tried this amazing restaurant. The service was impeccable and friendly. The food was innovative and so tasty, the Chef Justin is an incredible culinary artiste and deserve much praise for his attention to details and exceptional taste and presentation. A new favorite.

My friend was visiting and we enjoyed an early dinner before catching a movie. Service was excellent, and they were great at accommodating our gluten free needs, although they could add something to the dessert menu that is not sorbet or ice cream. The scallops with potato crostini were excellent. We both had the quinoa stuffed eggplant with tomato relish-what... More

We went to the cabin when it was in cranberry and it was great than they moved downtown and the food was fantastic again. Can't wait to go to the new location downtown as they have more seating and a bigger kitchen.

Our second time at Cabin Bistro. Food was absolutely brilliant. I had the homemade pasta special. Definitely one the best meals I've ever had. Looking forward to their new location in Collingwood.

Nice atmosphere, attentive service by Dean, and we both loved our meals. The hand made pasta melts in your mouth. The popover was the only miss, but it wasn't essential to the venison shepherd's pie.
