Long time no see....

After a pretty bad experience about five years ago we ventured back into the Norseman restaurant. It was unfortunately not very busy so it took a few minutes to locate a staff member. Once that was out of the way the evening was off to a good start. The food was truly very good. I had the Cesar... read more

This was the worse meal I have eaten in a restaurant in a long time the 34 dollar steak was frozen and tough, the lamb was dry, the chicken was dry, the mashed potatoes were lumpy. This place has huge potential - it is quaint, the staff are friendly, the food is over priced and unfortunately not very good. The... More

The Norsemen Restaurant, positioned between Dorset and the Dorset Fire Tower, on the border between Muskoka and Haliburton, not far from Algonquin Park, has a great location. It's a good restaurant for visitors and travellers. The location calls for a great restaurant!

tranquil fine dining restaurant on walker lake; will definitely be returning! The daily pasta was fantastic, as well as the smoked salmon caesar salad.

Generally a new chef every year but some how each and every one delivers fine fare and extraordinary flavours. Wine list is extensive but lacking in wines that are ready now at reasonable prices. A culinary gem in the wilds of the north. The drive in to the Norsemen location is quite unassuming. You might even think you took a wrong turn along the way but upon arrival you won't be disappointed. Chef Nate's dishes are both unexpected and wonderful. He has brought a bit of his Australian flare to Muskoka.

Our family ate dinner the the Norsemen this evening. The Thai shrimp curried soup was delicious, I will remember the flavours for a long time. We had the lamb shank, it was good but had an overpowering smoked flavour, a little strong for our taste. The boys had the ribs and ate every scrap they were so good. The crème... More

This was my first weekend up North this year, and a wonderful way to welcome and celebrate the warm weather and a long awaited Spring.
