We had an anniversary lunch at the Norseman. We were not disappointed with anything they had to offer! The service was fast and efficient, the wine list extensive, and the food superb. Our steak arrived cooked exactly as ordered. The ambiance makes this a delightful place to enjoy a meal in the north! Thank you!

Although we have been wanting to try the Norsemen's yearly wine tasting dinner for awhile, we finally got to go this past weekend. It was amazing! A perfect balance of excellent wine, explained in detail by a wonderful sommelier who came in from the highly acclaimed Scaramouche in Toronto and excellent food, explained in detail by the Norsemen's incredible young... We often go for dinner at the Norseman, its close and the food is always good...I can be very fussy...My steak is always cooked to my liking..and the scallops..so yummy...we usually top dinner off with the flour less chocolate cake. They have a extensive wine list as well...service is always spot on. Thanks Les, Suzy and staff.

Fantastic food and excellent service. The steak was perfect and the calamari to die for. We loved the art and atmosphere too. I scored big points with my wife for bringing her here. It was charming and romantic with a nice fire going in the stone fireplace. What a great night! We will most definitely be back.

I visited the Norseman homepage on the web and was delighted to read "Prime Rib Three Course Dinner soup or salad; fresh roasted prime rib au jus with Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes; crème brûlée or chocolate cake. SERVED SUNDAYS $34". Don't believe it for a moment. I informed my guests on the way to the restaurant what we were... More

A friend recommended this restaurant and I thought I would try it over the weekend. The food was fantastic - my steak was cooked perfectly and my boyfriend said his scallops were the best he's had. The Manager and Server were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very warm, a nice cozy place in the woods, with a lovely... More

This restaurant had good reviews but we were rather disappointed that the menu was rather limited and, for a place like this, it had no fish offerings on the menu on the evening that we visited last week. Also, the place is a bit out of the way and rather dark when walking from the restaurant to the car, especially... More

After a few meals during a cottage visit, it is sometimes nice to venture out to a cozy restaurant with a city feel and menu and this restaurant came highly recommended by locals. Its is cozy for sure, warm and elegant and exactly what you might expect from a country tavern. It was an early fall evening when we visited... More

A chef with passion not just for preparation but also for the presentation of his dishes. A very good wine list allows you to further enjoy the great food. Price and performance are in balance.

We ate here on Saturday September long weekend. The service was very poor, our server could not really keep up with our table of 8, at times dishes were left while others were picked up. Some of us order the prix fixe (that was feature that day). The Ceasar salad that came with it was very average compared to its... More
