This is a great restaurant, with a varied menu and friendly service. We had dinner - shared the salt cod chowder to start which was HUGE and really delicious, I had elk bourgiugnon which was delicious, and my husband had the duck which he loved too. We were there during Earth Hour, and the restaurant turned out the lights and... More

When we want something and someplace special we go here. Consistently wonderful, small menu but they do it right! Not inexpensive but if fancy and great are what you're looking for, look no further.

This one was a surprise for me. A colleague took me out for lunch here. I did not expect the hidden in the corner local eating joint to be a brilliant, spacey, classy restaurant with excellent tastefully decorated interiors. Word on the street is that the owners are a couple that travel the word and bring back souvenirs to adorn... More

We went to the Explorers Cafe as part of my wife's 50th birthday party. No one we went with had been before but everyone said they would be going back. All the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will be going back. The best restaurant we have been to in Midland.

Cool place and food that was properly prepared. Good portions and good value. Duck confit was excellent and the beet salad was delicious.

We enjoy everything about Explorer's. From the best food, always changing menu but still keeping the favourites, to the Tapas and Tastings evenings with Rob's great stories. Our favourite in the area for sure!
