Multiple visits, multiple great meals.

We have been here many times over the years and have had consistently good meals, regardless of season. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I went to the restaurant last night and were very surprised by the varied menu, things that we would not have expected. The food was delicious , the Georgian Bay white fish was amazing so fresh and beautifully done. Craft beers and a lovely variety of really good wines made the evening. Since we are Airbnb hosts... Readers' reviews can be both helpful and frustrating. That's because they are written by "People." When we checked out eateries in Midland, Ontario, we jotted down six or seven and then asked our hotel clerk/concierge ("My husband used to be the concierge..."), and he suggested the Explorer's, caveating that it was not "diner food." ("Not that there's anything wrong with... More

This place is a surprise from the moment you turn the corner into the alley. The food was great and varied with a good wine list. The portions were huge so be hungry when you go because you won't want to leave a morsel.

Staff was friendly and food was OK -- but I can't remember what I ate, so it couldn't have been remarkable. Dark inside unless unless you sit near a window at the front with a view of a laneway.

I was in Midland for 4 days on business. When I asked locals the best place to eat the unanimous answer was Explorers cafe. I have to agree! The menu was limited to one page and apparently changes every week. A sure sign that the food is fresh.4 of us ate and no one was disappointed. The main courses were... More

My family and I absolutely love Explorers! It is hands down the best place to go in Midland. Will be back again for sure. Everything tastes amazing and the servers are really knowledgable. Calamari and steak was to die for!!

This place never lets me down. Always great service, food and beverages specially the wine selection, all at a reasonable price. Most dishes in the$12 to $25 range.

During a visit to the area my relative made a reservation for us for dinner. We arrived promptly but we're told we'd have to wait for our table to be free. The only place to wait is either standing or perched on high bar stools. We chose the latter which was just as well as we had a wait of... More

several of us went to this restaurant before taking in a show next door. I had the curry which was very good. The service was quick and efficient. The cost of the meal was reasonable given the portion served.
