We decided to have supper here after reading Trip Advisor reviews, to celebrate our purchase of a boat at a nearby Marina. Our waiter Richard was so enthusiastic and passionate about the menu, and he was so personable, we thought he was the owner! Nice cozy restaurant, small but very interesting menu, great wine list. They bring you warm homebaked... More

The Explorers Cafe is hidden, just off Midland's Main Street; a bit difficult to find if you haven't been there previously. It is tastefully decorated and offers an eclectic menu featuring some Mexican and South American dishes, plus locally sourced meals. Our drinks and snacks were served promptly, but things deteriorated thereafter. We placed our orders and waited 30 minutes... More

Nice menu with varied selection of different dishes. I would recommend to make a reservation as we had to wait over an hour for a table inside.

We had dinner here on the recommondation of our B&B hostess. The place has a funky decor with all sorts of travel related artifacts. The food was simply fantastic, we had the Brie starter and for mains I had one of the best lamb curry I ever tasted. The service was great. We felt really welcome. I would definitely recommend... Checked out this place while in town for business. Not as hard to find as other reviews suggest. Full at 8pm on a Thursday night, a real mixed crowd that is indicative if the reputation and variety. Expansive wine list. Ordered Argentine steak based on reviews. Impressive plate! Great cut of steak and excellent presentation. Too bad that the ordered... More

A hidden gem back off the main street of Midland. Was pricier than I first wanted but thought I'd treat the family to a special meal.....and wow. The ambience was nautical and not to my taste but nice. Menu was small but varied. I enjoyed the best steak I have ever had! It was amazingly cooked and topped with a... More

We found the Explorers Cafe with tripadvisor ratings as one of the top restaurants to visit in Midland. We all had different dishes and they were all very good. Our only complaint was one of the steaks was under seasoned. Everything else was really good. The atmosphere is very interesting with a lot to look at and the service was... More
