Food was good and the quantity was also good. The waiter was smiling and offered alternatives and was very knowledgeable.

We recently had the pleasure of dinning at The Explorers Cafe in Midland. Our meal started with 2 apps (the minnows )which were perfectly breaded smelts that melted in your mouth served with a dipping sauce that also enhanced the flavor and the soup of the day which was fantastic (gator gumbo) I highly recommend trying both. My guest had... More

Had a lovely dinner at Explorers with my dad on June 6. The whitefish was delectable, and I also loved the Mozambique Shrimp. There's always something new and off the beaten path to try here. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. A special mention to the waitress in the blue dress who must be a sprinter in her spare time and... More

Love it all, food, wine, atmosphere. We found an amazing wine, ate food we've never had before and had a quiet conversation. Good date night

I come here with my family every time I'm in town. Everything is good about the place. It has a great atmosphere and feels like you're in a museum (you kind of are). They have a sunny patio as well. The washrooms are clean and pleasant. The staff are all friendly. The drinks are delicious and so is the food.... More

We went here on our anniversary weekend getaway, based solely on the reviews here. We made reservations for 8:30, and when we arrived, had to wait for a while before anyone even took notice of us. It was busy, but a number of staff walked by us several times, without making any eye contact. When we were finally seated, our... More

I grew up in Midland and have since moved away. In the many years since, I have always dreaded taking my parents out for dinner when I visit, for a lack of quality or interesting options. Midland has never been a foodie town. Imagine my delight when we visited The Explorer's Cafe for the first time last weekend and I... More
