Sometimes it doesn't matter what you eat but where. The Boathouse has spacious patio overlooking the bay of Midland and a great ambiance. The service is very friendly so we didn't mind their average food.

The band the night we were there was Point Zero and it made for a really fun night of live entertainment with a decent pub dinner to complete the night!

We keep our boat at Bayport Yachting Centre just across the bay from the Boathouse Eatery so often enjoy the 15 minute walk over for a pleasant evening meal. There is a beautiful patio overlooking Midland harbour; just perfect for sultry summer evenings. The waiters are very friendly and efficient and dinner is always served with a smile. Every meal... On our second day in Midland we discovered again that in May most restaurants don't open either Sunday's or Monday's. so having stopped the day before for lunch at the boathouse, we were pleased to see it was one of the exceptions and was open. The location for this restaurant on the Marina and lakeside is it's biggest selling point.... More

We found that the service for lunch was quite friendly, the view on the marina is nice even sitting inside (there is a patio), the food is decent, and the process not more expensive than elsewhere in town.

The Boathouse Eatery is right downtown and looks onto the Midland marina. Perfect tourist spot when taking in the downtown little shops in the summer, and to admire the beautiful boats. Location is perfect, access is also great since the lights help. The building is gorgeous and you can sit either inside or outside right next to the marina. Food... More

Choosing this restaurant would be a mistake for visitors to Midland. There is nothing more disappointing that reading about a delicious meal on a menu, yet receiving poor quality over priced tripe. Though promised a delicious mozzarella Margarita pizza with a fire-roasted crust, I received a prefab crust with marble cheese. Ummm- yuck. The staff, though seemingly numerous, seemed to... More

The food exceeded expectations and the staff was courteous and helpful. I can imagine it would be lovely in the summer when you can get a view of the bay.

Our dinner was adiquate but uninspiring (fish & chips, the pasta dish) and could best be described as 'pub food.' The menu has a reasonable selection of different appetizers and main course meals, but only a few items for those who don't eat meat. There is a seperate section for dinner dining so you don't have to sit in the... More
