A good old fashioned burger joint

Steer Inn Burgers has great home made food. Burgers and fries are very good. Onion rings fantastic. Atmosphere is non existent but what you expect from a burger joint.

I did not grow up in Richmond Hill. Nor do I live there. However, I have driven up Yonge Street an awful lot in my life, and I have always been curious about the Steer Inn. On a late nite drive, I decided to let my curiosity get the best of me and make a stop. Pulling up, the Steer... More

The burgers are decent. It's a nice change from the generic franchise burgers. What led me to the low rating are the two guys that work there. They creep me the hell out! They are always leering and staring. It makes me very uncomfortable. As a woman, I would not want anyone to be subject to that. This alone is... More

Anyone who grew up in the area in the 60's or 70's will have a nostalgic regard for this average little independent burger joint. In the pre franchise era, it was the one of the only places to get a decent fast food fix and EVERYBODY below 25 years of age in this once small town congregated there. Times have... More

Used to go there for burgers. Been on a cholesterol watch for 20 years, so burgers area no. However, I replaced them with steaks on a Kaiser. Toppings are the same......double sauce and onions...with pickle on the side......to go. Take it home and wash it down with a cold beer! Their sauce is an old family recipe (I'm sitting her... More

I am sorry but I have noting good to say about the steer inn. The food was absolutely vile. I love nothing more than a good old fashioned hamburger and I and heard great things about this place so I decided to give it a go. It was disgusting. It was pure grease! I ordered a burger and onion ring... More

Food is above quality for a fast food restaurant. However, counter staff has no sense of customer service beyond a grunt...it is very off-putting. Given the location, it is not worth the drive if you are staying in the city.

This place does have a reputation. Ask people who grew up in the GTA what they think are the better burger joints in the GTA; amongst this one they will say Apache in the west, Johnny's in the east, Square Boys in central east, etc... However, times have changed with the infusion of all these new places in the city:... More

What can you say? This is an old fashioned burger place, with good portions and reasonable prices.
