I find the food okay but overpriced and the wait staff obnoxious! Would definitely not return to this restaurant!! There are other places for steak that give you a much better dining experience. Such a shame too because it used to be much better :(

Arrived late in town, staying in north York area, trying to look for a decent place that would still accept a 9:00pm res for a party of 7. Took a chance with The Octagon. The moment we stepped into octagon, we were greeted and seated with grace and efficiency rarely seen at restaurants these days, and things only got better... More

As others have said the garlic bread is excellent as well as the pickles. We have ordered the seafood platter for two, several times. Usually it is excellent..the last time is wasn't as good. But they used to have scampi that were awesome. Bring them back please! Salmon has been nicely cooked, but not great. Haven't had the steak, but... More

What a shame! Such a beautiful restaurant with poor food. Several people had the Filet of Sole. It arrived warm and overcooked. It was soggy. No one asked us if everything was OK! I probably would not have said anything because I would not want to spoil anyone else's lunch. Service was OK. We asked for separate bills... this seemed... More

We attended a family dinner at the Octagon. The service was wonderful and they were very attentive. My family loved the garlic bread and I enjoyed my salad. Their salad portions are quite sizable. I ordered their shrimp for my main course and was a little dissapointed. Some of them were on the tough side. No I didn't send them... More

While the steaks are some of the "Best ever" it is the garlic bread and dill pickles that make this place a true delight!

This restaurant is for the business crowd not looking for anything other than a meeting place. The food is so average but priced much higher. The menu is not creative. I think you can expect a nice meal here but nothing more.

Disappointing. Living off its reputation. Food was OK but nothing special. Staff was friendly but not in a hurry. If you are willing to spend this much - why not go to CANOE for a truly great meal?

We went to Octagon last Tuesday to celebrate my friend's birthday. We were 2 matured couples. We have been to this restaurant a few times, since this is really our neighborhood. Anyway, we had an enjoyable evening because of the company. The food was okay, nothing exciting. My husband had onion soup and veal. My friend's husband had bisque soup... More
