This restaurant has been shut down for quite some time. Not sure why it still comes up in searches. The 1 + year old menu is still in the window but looks way overpriced. I mention this only because evidently there is another location in the GTA that may still be open

Expensive but certainly an experience - this was not our first visit to a Melting Pot, but our first to the one in Richmond Hill. The service was not quite on par with previous experiences (Norwalk, CT, USA; one in New York, USA; one in Minneapolis, MN, USA) and the food seemed to be smaller portions than previously (changes in... I would give this zero stars, except that's not an option. Made reservations online for dinner on Friday March 15. Drove 45 minutes from downtown Toronto, only to find a sign on the door that says "Closed for inventory count". Are you kidding me?! It's a Friday night, they were taking reservations and it's not even month/year-end - and they're... More

Over priced garbage for mediocre food. The place has a bad smell and the greet staff is very unfriendly. For a meal over $100 dollars you would expect better service and better tasting food...GROSS!

When we arrived I could tell by the atmosphere and the excitement of the staff that we were going to have a great time. We were given the private room at the back which was great for a party of six. We ordered the fontina and swiss fondues to start. If you don't want to make fondue from scratch at... More

Went with a group to try this out. Our waitress was very helpful and recommended some great choices...the fusion package with the lobster is a must...though a lot of food! Be prepared for a lengthy meal. We generally love to take our time and at most restaurants often feel rushed. Not the case here. We did a cheese course, a... More

We were excited to try this restaurant having visited several in the US. The decor is cold and stark unlike the dark warm ones in the US. Service was mediocre. Prices are high as well. Expect to pay about $40-50 per person for a full meal and drinks. We ran out of sauces and waited quite a long time for... More

Attentive waiters, like ours, need patience and sense of humour to get newbies through their first order! Tender morsels of pork and beef, great seasonings. Loved the apples with the cheese fondue. Just as good as our experience in San Antonio!

I have been to a few Melting Pots in the US and its always been one of my favourite dining places/experiences. I was very happy when I learned they opened in Richmond Hill and decided to go for my birthday. First off - the decor is awful. One of the best things about the Melting Pot to me was their... More

The Melting Pot is a really fun experience. You must try it. The food is yummy and different. It is not just a restaurant, it's a dining experience. All the food, except the salad, is fondue. There are many varieties to choose from so there is something for every taste bud. My Mom came with us and she is a... More
