I have eaten at the old Christien's for several years and was always disappointed it did not open until 11am. I was delighted to find when the new owners took over it opened extremely early for Breakfast. I eat Breakfast here several times a week often with friends. We find it an extremely good valued meal. A couple of times... More

The New owners have tried to keep the same dining experience that people are used at Christiens and also added breakfast. Anything you order will fill you up at this restaurant and leave you with leftovers. The prices are very reasonable considering the portions you receive. The New Owners are doing wonders for local non profit organizations by allowing Spaghetti... More

Not the restaurant of the past...not worthy of any positive comments...would not recommend. Service was poor, quality for dollars was poor (food was cold)...atmosphere was terrible. Since a number of changes in ownership have occurred over the years, it is not a place we frequent. Our last outing with friends re-confirmed why we haven't been there in years.

I ate here recently and cannot believe how much its gone downhill since the new owners came in. The owners kids run freely through the restaurant, both kids were constantly scratching at their heads and really dirty. I ordered a simple grilled cheese and was horrified when it come to table, they used one normal sized piece of bread and... More

I have never seen the place so empty at supper hour. The celery bread was so greasy and drenched in butter. The burger were from a box and tasted gross. The lettuce was wilted and soggy, I didn't even put it on my burger. The cook was more interested in sitting at a table with friends watching the ball game.... More

This place is under new ownership and isn't worth going to. They are dirty and the food has gone downhill. Don't bother going here. Take a trip to Blue Elephant or The Arms for good food. If you are on foot, go across the road to Tai Shan.

We don’t go to Simcoe that often but when we do we usually have breakfast at Christien's Both my wife and I love it… great tasting and plenty of it. We don’t have to ask for a coffee refill either the waitress is around several times with extra coffee. Someday we will have to try it for lunch of dinner.

We have dined at the old and the new Christiens and find the new owners are even better than the old ones and the old ones were excellent. Service can be a bit slow but the food is well worth waiting for, free celery bread with all meals. I don't know how or why some folks don't find it appealing,... More
