I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. I was really disappointed. I ordered the Fish & Chips, and although the frites were good, the fish was tough. Yes, tough. It was a 2" by 2" by 4" chunk of fish, beer battered. I know of no good way to get a lump of fish that shape cooked to... More

Hi I live here and I am a foodie. Trenton is no food mecca, and this is the only restaurant in town that is worthy of being called an actual restaurant. Despite that, the Port would still fit in in Kingston or Toronto as a restaurant that I would visit and go back to. Creative menu, excellent service and ambience.... More

Don't get me wrong, just cause I think the menu is alittle small and the prices slightly higher then I would expect doesn't mean I don't like this place. Quite the contrary, I go once every other month because I LOVE their appetizers. I did have a bad experience with their olives, way to spicy, and with their Mac &... More

Greeted at the door and walked to our table. The meal in four courses with an extra. That is Oxtail soup, appetizer, salad, entre' and dessert. Each course was presented nicely on the plate. We ordered the beef tenderloin. It just melted in your mouth. The salad was delicious. Not used to haute cuisine, but can get used to it.

This is a place who's motto is definitely "quality over quantity". While I can't deny the food was good (but not great), definitely avoid going if you are starving. My husband and I got a garlic shrimp app to start. 5 shrimps. Really? Make it 6 and then we wouldn't of had to split the odd number in half (jk.... More

We have always enjoyed our dining experience here. Food is consistently good, service always pleasant, and in fact, all in all, I would say that it is way above average for a community this size. Outdoor summer terrace overlooking the water is a real treat.

Great atmosphere, okay service, food was substandard. Very meagre serving of bread crisps for 3 people to start. I ordered soup which was served without bread, when I asked for bread I was told that I could have a few more crisps for an additional charge of $2. They weren't worth it. Fries were far too salty. None of us... More

The Port has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are communicative and engaging. They let you know immediately if there is a wait for a table and make you comfortable. Our group attended on a Tuesday trivia night and had a great time. The service was prompt, and we enjoyed a variety of appetizers and meals. The menu has something for... More

VERY poor experience... food meagre portions, salad all lettuce ... limited specialty ingredients ( if you could find them)... unbelievably poor service... One hour for appetizers/ dinner and only 4 other diners.... overcharged one bill... charged for extra ' bread'..(.actually only @ 4-5 small crustini pieces...)..... too bad... would love to have seen them do well supporting local producers but...
