Situated in the heart of Trenton, The Port Bistro Pub is located in a beautifully restored historical building overlooking the Trent waterway. In the summer season, there is a spacious patio where you can watch the boats pass. Inside we feature the work of local artists & feature live music on Friday nights. The Port features a menu of gourmet comfort foods made from the very best quality, local products. Everything is made in house including hand-cut frites, desserts, and all sauces and dressings. We are proud of our unique beer list featuring local, regional and international brews, a comprehensive wine list and a great selection of cocktails and martinis. Additionally, we offer warm, friendly customer service and a fun unpretentious atmosphere that is uniquely ours. We strive to go above and beyond our patron's expectations and make The Port something the community can be proud of. This is partially achieved through our Green Initiatives and by highlighting the area's finest produce, meat, beer and wine. The Port opened July 14th 2011, with new owners acquiring it on August 1st 2014. The Port is locally owned and operated. We invite you to join us for some shared plates with friends, a full course meal or just a drink on the patio.

Glad we have a new lunch stop along the 401

For years we've often stopped at random places for lunch during trips between Ottawa & Toronto, and never really found anything great - Until we decided to check out Trenton and came across The Port. Very pricey. $50 for two small sandwich and salad, ice tea and club soda. To be fair, the waitress was nice and corrected my bill, and the food was truly delicious.

Stopped by The Port last night. The restaurant was empty inside except for one table. The back patio looked busy. Before the door closed behind us a server approached and said that they were really swamped with customers and they could not seat us!! That is right they turned us away. Would not even let us sit at the bar... More

Hey, I'm guessing you are referring to Tuesday night. We had a private party of 50 ( that turned into 65 ) on the patio. And our second server didn't show up.That left 1 server and 65 guests. You have to know we tried to find a short notice fill in, with no luck. Believe me, as the owner, I... More

My brother was in from Ottawa and we were wanting to eat somewhere in Trenton as we were in the area. It was 2:30 and unfortunately Jim's Pizza was closed until 4pm on Sunday so we decided to give The Port a try. We sat down and got our drinks fairly quick. We got a poutine each and my wife... More

Matt Truly sorry we didn't meet your expectations. The poutine and the Natcho's are amongst our most popular items. You should of been told the Natchos were a 45 minute prep time. If you were looking forward to the Jim's pizza......... well, I love the too. More

The food was just ok and overpriced. The dinning room is also very small (not good for groups) and the patio is always full. The restaurant does have a good atmosphere but that's about it.

Holly Sorry you were disappointed. That means none of us are happy. Your review seemed kurt, i wish you would have told us more. Yes we are small ( seat 40 inside ! ) , but the patio being full is, for us, a good thing. Thanks for giving us a try. More

This restaurant is under new ownership and kudos to the team! We loved everything we had and the service was great, too. Super meaty wings - a number of varieties - make sure to try the Korean. Short ribs, fantastic. Grilled portobello salad, yum white wine mussels with bread a YES. Frites worth every calorie. Only so so item, the... More

We have been to The Port for lunch before but this was our first visit for dinner and we were not disappointed. The weather was perfect for patio dining. This past Friday my daughter visited me from Toronto and we decided to go to the Port. It was a warm and sunny evening, so we could sit outside. I have eaten at this place numerous times since it first opened. Unfortunately since new ownership has taken over the food and service has greatly declined. Originally you were given some toasted baguette and olive tapenade, now a piece of baguette served with dipping oil and the cheapest Unico balsamic vinegar that Walmart can supply is provided. On the last... More

Michael I have spent the last week questioning myself on how to respond to you. That you preferred Mat and Nat's vision of the Port is obvious. And that is not something I will compete with. I loved their place too, that is why I bought it. The Menu has doubled in size, and changes every season. We have continued... More
