Situated in the heart of Trenton, The Port Bistro Pub is located in a beautifully restored historical building overlooking the Trent waterway. In the summer season, there is a spacious patio where you can watch the boats pass. Inside we feature the work of local artists & feature live music on Friday nights. The Port features a menu of gourmet comfort foods made from the very best quality, local products. Everything is made in house including hand-cut frites, desserts, and all sauces and dressings. We are proud of our unique beer list featuring local, regional and international brews, a comprehensive wine list and a great selection of cocktails and martinis. Additionally, we offer warm, friendly customer service and a fun unpretentious atmosphere that is uniquely ours. We strive to go above and beyond our patron's expectations and make The Port something the community can be proud of. This is partially achieved through our Green Initiatives and by highlighting the area's finest produce, meat, beer and wine. The Port opened July 14th 2011, with new owners acquiring it on August 1st 2014. The Port is locally owned and operated. We invite you to join us for some shared plates with friends, a full course meal or just a drink on the patio.

Great place for Friday evening Dinner

This past Friday my daughter visited me from Toronto and we decided to go to the Port. It was a warm and sunny evening, so we could sit outside. She had a nice cocktail and myself first a cider and than a couple of beers. We had Risotto, a salad and the baked Salmon. We truly enjoyed it and the... read more

I have eaten at this place numerous times since it first opened. Unfortunately since new ownership has taken over the food and service has greatly declined. Originally you were given some toasted baguette and olive tapenade, now a piece of baguette served with dipping oil and the cheapest Unico balsamic vinegar that Walmart can supply is provided. On the last... More

Michael I have spent the last week questioning myself on how to respond to you. That you preferred Mat and Nat's vision of the Port is obvious. And that is not something I will compete with. I loved their place too, that is why I bought it. The Menu has doubled in size, and changes every season. We have continued... More

Sandra Sorry to hear about your experience. We take pride in our menu, and the crabcakes are one of our most popular items, but we certainly acknowledge not everyone has the same tastes. If the crabcakes were not to your satisfaction, can I ask why you didn't let us know ? If it isn't good, then please send it back.... More

While traveling from Toronto to Ottawa we decided to drop into Trenton for a relatively quick late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. As our favourite Trenton haunt (Thai Sushi) wasn't open yet, we decided to give Port Bistro Pub a whirl. We were told to seat ourselves which was fine as there was no one there, and the menus (drink... More

Hey, thank you for stopping in. I guess ouwe should of warned you about the wait for the Natchos. They actually do take 3 to 5 minutes to prepare and 22 minutes in the oven. Any less than that and the centre of the tower would be cool and the cheese would not be melted. This would be our bad... More

I was recentlypassing through Trenton from Montreal and decided to go to this restaurant with eight friends on a friday evening. We arrived at 7:30 pm and although I received my meal earlier everyone else received their meals at 9 pm. On the menuit does say to be patient but I believe this to be beyond patient. There were three... More

Calamari was on special for an App - overcooked and under-seasoned - asked for lemon and salt and it was okay. Steak for my husband was well enjoyed. My risotto with chicken, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes was excellent. White wine was not very chilled - I had to add ice cubes.

I guess I'm not a bistro fan. Very limited menu, and the condiments were decided for us. They were good, mind you, tomato jam instead of ketchup. Servings were small, but tasty, so I guess for a bistro, they were fine.

My family and I went for dinner at The Port Bistro Pub to celebrate my birthday on Feb 22nd 2015. My husband and I have just moved to Trenton four months ago and every time I passed this place on my drive - I really wanted to try their food as the atmosphere looked great. I can only share my... I absolutely LOVE The Port! If you're looking for a GREAT dining experience in the Quinte area - look no further. Great selection of beer on tap, amazing food and a great ambiance. The service was great and if I lived closer I would likely be spending all of my free-time and free cash flow at this joint. If you... More
