Description: Situated in the heart of Trenton, The Port Bistro Pub is located in a beautifully restored historical building overlooking the Trent waterway. In the summer season, there is a spacious patio where you can watch the boats pass. Inside we feature the work of local artists & feature live music on most weekends. The Port features a menu of gourmet comfort foods made from the very best quality, local products. Everything is made in house including hand-cut frites, desserts, and all sauces and dressings. We are proud of our unique beer list featuring local, regional and international brews, a comprehensive wine list and a great selection of cocktails and martinis. Additionally, we offer warm, friendly customer service and a fun unpretentious atmosphere that is uniquely ours. We strive to go above and beyond our patron's expectations and make The Port something the community can be proud of. This is partially achieved through our Green Initiatives and by highlighting the area's finest produce, meat, beer and wine. The Port opened July 14th 2011 and is locally owned and operated. We invite you to join us for some shared plates with friends, a full course meal or even just a drink on the patio.

We decided to give this place a try again after hearing that new management took over and made a bunch of changes. Yes, the menu is a little different, but it is still overpriced and lacking in quality. The service was mediocre at best; the restaurant was maybe half full and it still took a while to get any kind... More

It's a very nice little restaurant, and the service was wonderful but quite expensive for the portions and taste. I guess they feel because they call their fries, frites they can tack a few extra bucks onto it.

We don't normally stop in Trenton on our way through to Ottawa but sure glad we found this warm and inviting little bistro pub with an amazing patio and beautiful view of the Trent River. Apparently this little gem of a restaurant was recently reopened under new ownership, management, and chef. The new menu with so many tantalizing and interesting... More

We sat out on the patio on a nice warm evening. The service was good. I had the burger which was as advertised...a tiny bit pink. It was very good. My husband enjoyed his wings. We took our time and shared a pitcher of excellent beer. We were not rushed at all, which we really appreciate. We will go again.

We visited on July 31, not knowing it was the opening night for the new management. There were a few opening hiccups - that might be expected. The Burger that was advertised as being "medium", a little pink inside, was well done, but tasty. The Pulled Pork in the Sliders was tender, but the three sauces were applied much too... More

An intimate place for all ages to enjoy good quality local food. The chef creates his meals using local food artisans from around this part of eastern Ontario. Wines and cheeses to pulled pork sandwiches that really hit the spot. In the summer the open air patio increases the seating choices and brings the Trent River into your dining room.... More

Okay, I admit I am a tough critic, it takes a lot to impress me and The Port Bistro Pub left me smiling. From the moment I walked in, I had a very good feeling about the meal ahead. We were greeted promptly at the door and shown to our reserved table by the window with a nice view of... More

I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. I was really disappointed. I ordered the Fish & Chips, and although the frites were good, the fish was tough. Yes, tough. It was a 2" by 2" by 4" chunk of fish, beer battered. I know of no good way to get a lump of fish that shape cooked to... More

Hi I live here and I am a foodie. Trenton is no food mecca, and this is the only restaurant in town that is worthy of being called an actual restaurant. Despite that, the Port would still fit in in Kingston or Toronto as a restaurant that I would visit and go back to. Creative menu, excellent service and ambience.... More
