We had the fritters with cheese and bacon, delicious but a lot of food for an appetizer. The curried chicken was very good as always. A little too dark inside on a sunny afternoon, we couldn't read the menu but moved to the sun room and it was lovely and bright. The waitress was excellent. I'll definitely go back.

After 25 yrs of being a loyal customer we had a terrible experience with poor service and the meal was average. The Duke use to pride itself on great customer service and great food and I am sorry to say this has slipped on both fronts. I will not be returning to the Duke of Wellington again.

Had breakfast here with my family. They have been before but it was the first time for me. We all had the breakfast special. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was lean, the hash browns were coated in some sort of flavouring. The whole meal was piping hot and we were served by a waitress called Dannah, who was... Was there with a large group. Beer was OK but the food was completely undistinguished pub grub. No high points whatsoever I'm afraid. Even the service was meh in terms of attitude, tho they did get the job done. Nothing to persuade me to linger a moment longer than I had to, or to ever go back.

There is more to this bar than meets the eye. We always shied away because of the location and outside appearance, but once we went, it became one of my favorite, if not the favorite bar in Waterloo. Great prices, decent food and beer selection, and live music almost every night. The atmosphere is really cozy. I really like the... More

So, our staff heads to the Duke's about every 2 or 3 weeks for a "debriefing" pint. We always sit in the same place - the atrium and order food and beer. Today was no exception EXCEPT that at 3:00 p.m the table that 8 of us sat at was prepared for a 5:30 sitting. No big deal for the... More

We used to be regulars for breakfast but rarely go anymore. The cook doesn't seem to care, and the quality of the food has been consistently worse every time we've been over the past year or two. Disappointing. It was our favourite breakfast spot for years.

My husband and I and some friends came here for drinks and appetizers. It is a loud resteraunt but we had a fun time. The food was delicious. We had nachos, which might be the best we have ever had. I like fancy fruity drinks, but this pub didn't have anything like that so our waitress recommended a Cider they... More

I went to the Duke of Wellington with a friend yesterday (a Thursday evening around 7pm). We stood at the bar for maybe 30 seconds, and when it was apparent that some of the serving staff had seen us there, but made no move to greet us, we assumed we were supposed to just find our own seats. We waited... More

I honestly felt like I was in The UK. Scottish accents, boisterous crowd, and old furniture. The food was actually pretty good (fish and chips) and a good selection of draft beers. Overall a pretty good place for a layer back dinner.
