One of my two favourite places in Waterloo, Duke's, and Angie's diner next door. I went to both of them pretty much every day for the six days that I was in town. You need go no further! Angie's for brunch or lunch, Duke's for the music and drinks as well as really good burgers and top chicken wings. The... More

We have been going here for the past 10 years to ring in the New Year, and this year all our Family were able to come too. Brilliant night, Fantastic value for money. Atmosphere Great.

Not that big, awkward washroom and coat room, but the regulars did not seem to mind. Small and crowded; convoluted layout, but the happy attentive servers and the jovial atmosphere made up for it. I haven't sampled any food here, just the bar.

Had a great time with about 10 of us last week. Fast attentive service and some great ciders on tap. I have been here a lot through out the years and I just love the atmosphere! Thanks for another fun, inexpensive pub night!

Had dinner here with a large group of fellow conference attendees. Staff made a good job of turning around over 20 orders and I noticed that everybody - bar, kitchen, waiting staff pitched in. Draft beer is fine here, from Guiness (warm) to local Ontario microbrews, but not cheap. Wine choice is basic. Food is traditional pub fare, my burger... More

The draft beers menu is classic British Pub (of Ontario) and pairing your pint with a plate of flavoured jumbo wings is perfection. I enjoyed the 'wet-cajun', a blend of Cajun spices and garlic butter. The young local band playing live music was so bad that I paid my bill gave my table up to the standing room only crowd.

Try the tattie fritters. And drink beer! Local music most nights. A great secret spot that's been there forever!

The food here is pub food at a reasonable price with a daily special which is normally a ood bargain. For instance, the last time I was there they had asiago chicken penne for the special at just under $7 which is a good deal when it has a large amount of chicken in it. The selection of beers is... We had the fritters with cheese and bacon, delicious but a lot of food for an appetizer. The curried chicken was very good as always. A little too dark inside on a sunny afternoon, we couldn't read the menu but moved to the sun room and it was lovely and bright. The waitress was excellent. I'll definitely go back.

After 25 yrs of being a loyal customer we had a terrible experience with poor service and the meal was average. The Duke use to pride itself on great customer service and great food and I am sorry to say this has slipped on both fronts. I will not be returning to the Duke of Wellington again.
