A nice convenient place for lunch

Our waitress was very attentive and in good humor which makes a world of diferrence to a restaurant of any description. The burger was like it was home made. My wife had a sandwich and a salad that were both prepared properly with and with a good proportion of ingredients.

This is one of those places in the world that you always want to return to have fun once again, and once you do it is better and better. Each time I come here I have a greater time than before, everyone is happy and friendly, the drinks are awesome, they got live music to sing all together, the environment... More

Popped in for Sunday lunch, rather grubby chairs worn and stained, asked for a pint of beer only got 3/4 of a pint . However locals seem to like it as it was very busy, roast meal was poor , lamb tough, potatoes soggy - however the cheesy chips were hot and tasty!

Great selection of beer, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Ordered some supper and the food was very acceptable.

My wife and I popped in for a drink recently and were somewhat disappointed with the slow decline in the Duke. Unfortunately, we were seated in the attached "solarium" style room, which felt like being at the kids table at a party. We were separated from the rest of the bar, which killed the ambiance. The selection of beer is... More

I like this place. They have their act together. The service is always good. The bar food quality is also good. The beer is cold. I guess the have the check marks ticked off that you want in a bar. I usually recommend going to this bar when I'm in Kitchener.

Came here for a meeting to discuss a confidential matter with a colleague, after deciding the coffee shop upstairs was too public. Explining to the server what we needed, we were quickly seated in the rear of the separate c"conservatory", a glassed in addition to the otherwise open and dark pub, which at the time of the day was totally... Staff very accommodating! Didn't realize reservations where required for the evening (very popular band was the entertainment) and the staff members squeezed us into a terrific table. Meal would be described as standard pub fair, simple selections and tasty. Service was prompt and all our needs where attended to. The band "Tea for Four" was terrific, wide variety of music... One of my two favourite places in Waterloo, Duke's, and Angie's diner next door. I went to both of them pretty much every day for the six days that I was in town. You need go no further! Angie's for brunch or lunch, Duke's for the music and drinks as well as really good burgers and top chicken wings. The... More
