Plan a trip to dine at Le Gourmand in Pointe Claire Village and you will find an absolute jewel in every way. The restaurant is quaint and charming in its architecture and ambiance. You will feel like you have stepped back in time with large stone walls and countryside decor. Dine indoors or outdoors on the beautiful terrace, weather permitting.... More

Let me start by saying that I've eaten at this restaurant a dozen times in the past year and it is always consistently good. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will make you feel at home the minute you walk through the door. On my last visit I sampled a wonderful Bean and Bacon soup starter with a lovely... More

When I visit Montreal, I make it a point to have dinner here. I love the atmosphere and the food. The food is fabulous. On my last trip, I had a crab bisque and duck confit topped with a perfectly cooked scallop. LOve, love, love!!

This was our first time at Le Gourmand. The weather was nice so we were able to dine out on the terrasse. They have heaters out there so that would definitely extend the outdoor dining season. Lots of hanging plants, umbrellas for the sun, very pleasant. The staff was very attentive, they certainly don't rush you between courses. We all... More

Le Gourmand is our favorite restaurant for dinner on the West Island. They normally aren't open for lunch on Saturdays however I asked if they would open for a 30-person event from 1-4pm, with lunch served in a buffet style. They said they hadn't done that before but, boy, they really did an amazing job. The entire first floor was... More

This restaurant is in a lovely old stone building and the ambience is great. The 6 of us found the meals themselves varied between great and only middling, meaning bland. We found the fish and seafood was superior to the meat, with the catch of the day being the best. The scallops were beautifully cooked but there were only 2... More

Can honestly say that there is nothing I or my friends would change about the experience we had in late April at Le Gourmand. The ambience, the staff, and of course the food were perfect. One of the things we appreciated the most was NOT being rushed between courses. We easily found items on the Menu that we were excited... More

This restaurant is very good for a special occasion. The food is very good and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. However it can be noisy. The terrasse in the summer is a very enjoyable place to have lunch.

This is a special-occasion place. Price is way up there, but it's worth it. The dinners are dreamy, with wonderful service in a setting that takes you back in time. A preview is possible if you do lunch instead, but it misses out on the romance as it deals with more of a crowd. There's a private terrasse for good... More

This is a very special place and we dine here frequently. This is an old heritage house and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a family celebration. During the warm weather months there is a beautiful terrace. This is a family owned and run restaurant and they take great care... More
