Fine Dining!

My brother and his wife took us here for my birthday. It was my choice as I had dined here before and loved it. It is an old stone house in the village with free parking just across the street. I have to say, our dinner tonight at Le Gourmand was great from start to finish, with moments of the superb. The latter included the appetizer of fresh local strawberries soaking in balsamic vinegar and oil, with a healthy slice of warm goat cheese on tip. Brave as an appetizer, it was amazing. The chicken liver pâté as part of... More

Have had the pleasure to eat at Le Gourmand 3 times now and greatly enjoyed each dinner. The atmosphere inside the building is nice, cozy and relaxed and the outside patio is beautiful in the nice weather. Food is what I would consider classic Québécois/bistro style (not sure if that's technically correct or not, but hey) and done really well.... More

Lots to like about this place - great old stone house in a quaint waterside village, fantastic menu and specials. The four of us had escargot, fresh arugula salads, salmon, filet, lamb and veal - it was all good - tons of flavour and well presented. We had the prosecco nectar which the ladies loved, and a nice cab from... More

Had lunch with friends at this restaurant after almost 2 years since been last. Still same,Food very average , wine overpriced and service average. Very tight sitting arrangement and low ceiling since its an old home. Charming from outside however cumbersome when in.

Old friends brought me back to the village which I hadn't seen in twenty years. The server was charming, the food was wonderful, the wine flowed, and the ambiance was wonderful. I hope to revisit the next time I'm in my childhood home.

I came here with out of town visitors that were interested mainly in trying a more french or local type of restaurant. Since they were staying at the airport, it made much more sense to head to the West-Island as opposed to downtown Montreal with all the traffic and accidents on the way. We opted for the table d'hôte, and... More

Spectacular meal. Fish soup was fantastic as was beef bourguinion. The table d hote had a full group of selections and we all liked our choices. Pork chop got high marks. Wine advertised as special with lots of available advice but did not materialize. Wine list was meager at mid price range. Desserts were very good. A good place for... More

Le Gourmand menu is a work of art by itself. Then comes your appetizer...Mine is the Smoked Salmon slightly covered with pure olive oil and a glass of a white Sauvignon! Wow, this "entrée" is in itself a real Feast! Then after this delicious beginning, a real Filet Mignon à la Française slightly covered with a ``black pepper-red wine sauce``... More

Le Gourmand is located in historic Pointe-Claire village and is one of the oldest buildings there. Beautifully renovated and decorated, it is a pleasure to have a meal there. The staff (who obviously enjoy their work) treat you with special care. Menu is simply amazing; food is way above what we're used to. Prices are somewhat high, but well worth... More
