I had a good time during my time in Grizzly Paw, but I have a bit of a soapbox when it comes to the whole of Canmore restaurants. The main reason I picked this place is because it was one of the few places, near the Town Centre, that had ANYONE with the basic sense to greet a customer at the... As we walked around town wondering where to eat, this place seemed very busy. Always a good sign we thought. We waited about 20 minutes for a table for two. We thought things a bit slow, as we waited probably almost 20 minutes for server to finally get to us once seated, and then another 20 for the drinks to... More

My mom and I were driving back from Banff and wanted to have a quick bite to eat before we came back to everyday life in Calgary. We planned on just having something small and then get back on the highway. We started with 12oz glasses of the raspberry ale (which was fantastic!), and ordered the mussels to start, thinking... The grizzly paw used to be an institution in Canmore. We have eaten there many many times and have noticed it slipping but always gave it another chance. I took some visiting relatives to Canmore on a Monday and stopped to have a late lunch as they wanted to try an elk burger. Upon seating our not so fantastic waitress... More

Visited this place back in April 2014 for the first time after a snowboarding trip. Food was good but service was meh. We were tired after a long day at the hills so we kinda shrugged it off. Visited again in July 2014 and the service again was just mediocre at best. There were a bunch of tables on the... More

I visit Canmore all the time and have always wanted to try this restaurant but for some reason it is always packed followed by long waits (clearly the place to be!!!) This time was a Sunday night at 10pm and we struck gold when we were quickly seated upstairs.... and ignored for 20 minutes (however we did watch a few... More

We'd eaten here several years ago and thought it was good, but have since changed our opinion. On our second visit the service was extremely slow--forty minutes without food. Waitress said the normal wait when busy was twenty minutes. When we said we'd already been there forty, she left and came back ten minutes later with a small snack and... More

My husband and I visit Canmore regularly and we always stop in for a pint at the Grizzly Paw Pub. The staff are always so great and friendly. We always enjoy!

The food was pretty good - burgers was big and tasty, and the bacon cheese bread was pretty good too. But you want to come for the beer, not the food. The sampler of beer flights was amazing - 12x 3oz samples of their own beers. All were great and there is something for every taste... Service was good considering... More

My family was in town visiting for a week and we visited a variety of places through the bow valley. i made a reservation for 8 adults and 2 small children when we arrived they informed us that they wouldn't allow strollers... which they didn't inform us of when i made the reservation. we sat for 10mins before someone came...
